Arrival Story:
My mom was at a steeple chase with Grandma in Middleburg, VA in October and it was very cold out. They were walking around and came across a pen of 4 puppies, two black and white and two champange with black stripes down their back - one of those was me. I was absolutely naked from the middle of my tiny body to the tip of my tail - we were weaned too early. I was curled up and cold. So mom picked me up and stuffed me in the front of her jacket. I snuggled in and fell asleep. After a little while mom started giving puppy eyes to her mom. (They already had 2 dogs, 2 cats, and 6 ferrets.) Grandma told mom to put me down and to go away and think about it. What was there to think about? The time I had to wait was agonizing; thinking that somone else would take me home. Mom came back and I saw her looking frantically around and she finally saw me in a little boy's arms. She asked the little boy if he was going to buy the puppy, me, and he said that he was waiting for his parents. Grandma walked up to the man selling us and inquired about the price. Mom gave grandma more puppy dog eyes (which she is quite good at, for a human) and grandma told the man they would take one. He asked which one... and they pointed to me. The man took me out of the little boy's arms and put me in my moms warm arms. And we were on our way home. I slept curled up in mom's jacket all of the way to my new home. And I was so small that she named me Pica ([pie-ka] a sixth of an inch).

Bio:
My parents were full bred show dogs that lived in the same house. My daddy-dog was a Jack and my mama-dog was a miniature champagne poodle (our litter was a suprise!) Supposedly Moose (a.k.a Eddie from "Frasier") is my great or great-great grandfather. I was born in Ireland. My Uncle Nickelby, a Berneese Mountain Dog, was the best MamaDog a puppy could have. Pica also is a psychological disorder (people who eat inedible objects, dirt, rocks... etc.).
