FERAL FRED

Well.....Mom has been volunteering at a shelter called STRAY RESCUE in St Louis. She LOVES that place. The founder, Randy Grim, rescues dogs off the streets of East St Louis and St Louis. Most of them have been fought or abused.

Mom noticed one pup in particular that seemed sad.....reallll sad. And scared. I know you know where I'm goin' with this...

Yup...I gots me a foster brother...Fred. He has heartworms and nuts and he has to get rid of both. So he's gonna stay with us until he is healthy and can find a home.

Fred gets along GREAT even with Beaner! He's a big softy! And we were told he was feral...but it only took him a couple days to figure out he'd hit pay dirt....he follows me and Bean and Possum around and pretty much does whatever we tell him to do...snicker.....

Well, I gotta go. Can't get caught on the computer...Mom isn't too fond of fur in the keyboard!

MERRY CHRISTMAS

Can't write much.....too busy eatin' mah foods.....yum! I LOVES ME SOME CHRISTMAS CHEESE!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO ME!!!!!!!

TODAY I AM EIGHT!!!!!!!!

Mom is gonna take me out to lunch and then to our dog park....I am gonna get my own hamburger and ice cream from DQ!

Aunt Charli made me peanut butter pupcakes....YUMMO!

Mom has been spending a lot of time lately giving me pup massages...cause my old bones have been aching..... gonna go to the vet and see if they can help with it....

But NOT TODAY CAUSE IT'S MY BIRTHDAY! Hamburger and icecream HERE I COME!!!!!

Mom---she is such a goof! I have been hot alllll summer...we were trying to grow my coat out fur the winter...and FINALLY mom says I have panted enough and 3 days ago cuts off all my hairs....


AND TODAY IT'S 29 flippin' degrees!

I know mom has been off her game a bit...still pining for Idgy and feeling bad.....

But CMON! I am GLAD I have no cojones cause they would no doubt FREEZE OFF!

Idgy had a really warm sweater, but mom gave it to a doggie in need.....so now I guess I needs to grow some hairs....

that saying...."you don't have a hair on your arse"..was made for ME!

COCONUT OIL IS DA BOMB!

Mom read right here on DOGSTER that coconut oil is good for us....so she went out and bought some. $5 was all it cost. She's been putting 2 teaspoons in our food every day....

My breath is MUCH better ......and mom swears that even tho it's only been a week, my coat feels less dry...

Anybody else use it?

I AM GETTING OLD.....

Mom's worried.....she read that Standard poodles live for up to 14 yrs or so......but I am only 8 1/2 and I am reallllllly moving like a much older boy. I have had bad hips all my life, and I've never been athletic.

But lately....I just like to lay around unless food or squirrels are involved. Mom has to wake me up on the couch to tell me it's bedtime...I used to follow her the minute she moved....

Eatin' well.....been looked at twice in last several months cause mom was worried about my many fatty tumors...they seem to appear more and more almost weekly.....

Mom says she's never thought about me getting old.....and she can't remember not having me in her life.....

Well, if I could speak, I'd tell her.....

Mom has new respect for me! Last night, at about 11pm, mom was watchin' her newest episode of FRASIER....when all of a sudden...



BBBBOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOM !!!!!!!!!!!!

This wasn't no sonic boom....or firecracker.....not even a shotgun! IT WAS LOUDER!

And before mom could jump up to investigate,

I WAS AT THE DOOR, FANGS BARED, LIPS DRAWN, BODY ALLLLL PUFFED UP, and I was trying to get out the door and tear up whatever it was that made the noise....

Mom was shocked......she had to pull me AWAY from the door so she could go out and check it out.....

All this time, Mom thought I was MR Milk Toast, the Fluffbucket of Fraidycats, the Sweet Potato of Sissies....

HA! I showed her! Mom says she will NEVER worry about anyone trying to break in again....she always thought Beaner would keep us safe...

HA! Pitbulls have NOTHING on POODLES!!!!!!!!
