Mom noticed a lumpylump on me....it's on my left side between my abdomen and ribcage. Mom says it's the size of a half dollar, soft, and she can actually move it around...then it pops back in place....
So we called the vet and I am going next week to get it checked out. Mom says not to worry- that it's probably a fatty tumor....I'm not sure but I THINK MOM JUST CALLED ME FAT!!!!!
So anyways- that's all that's been going on....aside from Beaner escaping for a few minutes, and Possum learning how to live in the house.....
We'll keep ya posted on mah lumpus.....personally I think it's an alien....BWAAAAAHAAAAAHAAAAA
Well- all I can say is we had a WONDERFUL ADVENTURE!
Me and mom took off at odarkthirty on Saturday- our first stop was at Micky D's in Vienna- and lo and behold there was a car with not one BUT TWO IBEZAN HOUNDS!!!! Talk about a good omen! We stopped and talked to the lady who was with the pups-they were on their way to a dog show.....
About the time we hit Nashville,Tn, the torrential rains started. It rained the rest of the drive- we made it to Ponder Cove just before the sun set- we were greeted by Gary, who showed us around and made sure we were at home...
Mom was in AWE! The entire place is beautimus- like you died and went to log cabin heaven! We were kinda wore out, so mom ran a hot bath in the HUGE jacuzzi tub, and soaked while I checked out the bed.
The bed was FABUU! IT was SOOOO soft and cuddly! There were a million pillows!
We cranked open the windows and listened to the tree peepers- it was AWESOME! We were on the top floor, and it was like the whole mountain was singing us to sleep!
So the next morning, we met Martha- she is SO COOL! Mom thought she reminded her of Edith Head--I don't know who that is, but I will take Mom's word for it. Martha is a fantastic hostess-and one heck of a cook! Mom had never eaten oatmeal before, but tried it and LOVED IT!
Martha suggested we check out a place called Max Patch- so we took a drive there- it was BEAUTIFUL! It looked just like the scene where Julie Andrews is dancing on the top of the worl in The Sound Of Music- it was awe-inspiring! It also took our breath away- really it did! Mom took FOREVER to climb up to the top- but it was way worth the hike!
We took Martha's suggestion for supper and toodled down to Weaverville and got a pizza from Blue Mountain Pizza- another winner! Mom said she might have to retire this way- everyone was so nice!
We wrapped it up the next morning with another awesome breakfast and good conversation with Martha...
Mom wants to make sure that if any of you venture anywhere NEAR Ponder Cove, ya gotta try it! We will be back fur sure for a longer stay!
Thanks to Gary and Martha, and to Dogster, for this wonderful trip! I had mom all to myself and I had a GRRRRRRRREAT time!!!!!!
Mom wanted me to get on here and tell y'all that we will be off the computer a few days....we are heading out late tonight for Ponder Cove....gonna leave about 0-dark-thirty and be on the Blue Ridge Parkway hopefully by about noon. We can check in to PC after 4....we plan to just sight see until then!
