Arrival Story:
I've wanted a Berner for years so hubby caved and we found a breeder nearby. We made plans to go meet the breeder and then, by chance, I found another website for a breeder nearby. They had two puppies as the people lined up couldn't take them anymore. We drove out to see them and got to meet the whole Berner clan - Mom, Dad, Grandma (who's 10!!)and Auntie. As soon as my husband started to figure out a way to tell the puppies apart I knew he was hooked - he wanted to be able to tell the breeder for sure which puppy we wanted when we called back to say we'd take him! So, we ended up with a Berner about five months sooner than we'd thought but now that we have him we wouldn't trade it for the world! He's a perfect fit in our family and keeps us laughing with his crazy Berner antics!

Bio:
Monty loves to play with other doggy buddies but loves attention from people just the same. He recently discovered puddles and loves to dive right in! Monty loves his Mom and Dad and has met lots of new friends at daycare and the off leash park. Did you know there's grass under the snow? This is a recent discovery and has prompted our dear boy to learn how to dig.

It snowed!!

Man, do I ever love the snow. I pretty much dragged my mom around the block during our walk this morning - I couldn't contain my excitement! I got in trouble though. I love to tunnel my nose through the snow and roll around in it. I don't get why there isn't snow all the time. My mom is so mean to not live in the mountains. Heelllooooo - I'm a MOUNTAIN dog folks. Sheesh.

Hugs and slurps,
Monty

These blasted mosquitos stink! Every time I go outside they swarm my head - I guess my fur's too thick to get through anywhere else on my bod. Cripes, all I wanna do is play but I have to guard my face from being consumed by swarms of blood suckers. Sheesh.

Hugs and slurps,
Monty

Bobbing For Ice

Have you ever tried this? It's sooo much fun! On a warm day my Mom will put ice cubes in my water dish and then tell me to "find it" and I shove my whole face in the dish trying to scoop out the ice. I always end up getting my whole face wet because I have to dig around a bit - the ice moves you know. Then, when I get a piece I lift my head up, dribble all the water on the floor and take my treasure to the living room to munch!
The best part is that I get to do it all over again until I get them all!
Try it, it's great fun!

Hugs and slurps,
Monty
