foster dog

So, it's been about a week that mom brought home this "new dog". She says something about him being a "foster dog" and I'm not quite sure what that means. All I know is that I have to share my house with him. Well I have news for him, I'm not sharing my toys, bed, or food. Nope. No way!

He seems pretty ok and his name is Buckley. He lets me be the boss and that's the way it should be. I am top dog you know. I guess I've realized that he doesn't really have any intention of stealing my things, so I guess we're cool. I just have to put him in his place sometimes if he gets too clingy. He follows me everywhere! It's so annoying. Doesn't he have a life?

He was soooo bad yesterday while mom and dad were at work. He knocked down all the baby gates and starting riping up the carpet, and then he peed and pooped on the floor. ooooo It was not good. I was an angel, I swear! I guess he hasn't learned that if he's naughty, he will have to be in his crate all day and all night when mom's not around. Oh well. His loss.

Actually, I was thinking about it over my breakfast today. Maybe he misses Mom a lot when she's at work and is feeling sad. I don't get it. I'm not running around acting bad. I take advantage of it and take my nap.

Oh well. I think I will probably miss him when he finally finds his "forever home" as mom says. But for now, I guess it's ok to have a buddy.

respectfully yours,
Maya

Maya,

You truely are my soul mate. I never thought a person and dog could share so many of the same traits. I feel that when I look at you, you understand what I am saying. I believe that we were meant to find each other and that Pandora sent you to me from heaven. I hope we have many more years together. I love you my sweet angel.

Recovering

Hello all. It is now March and I am walking and everything. I am going to rehab only once a week now and the doctors are impressed. I'm so glad I'm walking again. That was really a bummer when my back legs didn't work. I am now chasing the cats but I will never be allowed to up the stairs or jump up on furniture again. I am so bummed. I'm lucky though because Mom carries me up to bed on the third floor. I still have some pain but overall I'm doing really well. I hope to be a 100% in a month or two. I am sad to say that I am also on a diet. I don't like it very much but it seems that I have a weakness for food. oh well. ta ta for now
