I'm pretty! That's what my owner keeps saying. She came to pick me up from the groomer, and I was all trimmed up, and I had a Christmas bow around my neck. I wanted to say hi properly, but my owner made me stay in my seat on the car ride back home. When we got home, I got to say hi to everybody all at once, and it was great! My kitty cat friends were all home, too. Dick and Beijing stayed home for the vacation, and my owner had picked Patty and Buddy up from the kennel before I got home. And everybody was so excited to see me! When I got tired, I curled up on my doggie bed in front of the (unlit) fireplace, and my owner said I looked like a Christmas present with the bow I was wearing. I love Denita, my groomer! Woof!

I saw my owner! I was at the kennel, getting a bath before I got groomed, and my owner walked in and said hi! I'm so excited! I know that grooming means I get to go home soon, but I haven't seen my owner in a long time, and there she was! Oh my gosh! I don't know how I'll be able to behave on the grooming table now--I'm so excited! Woof!

Problems Solved!

I was diagnosed with hypothyroidism this past summer. Now I get thyroid medicine and allergy medicine twice a day every day, and boy has that helped! My undercoat grew back in, the weird spots on my skin are gone for the most part, and I don't itch and scratch all the time! I'm still getting baths in antimicrobial/antifungal shampoo once a week, just to keep any skin infections away, and my owners found out that blow-drying makes me itch, so I just air-dry now. Also, I'm down to a slim, trim 70 pounds, and I've got a nice hourglass figure going on--down 20 pounds from my peak weight three years ago. My owners are considering giving me a little bit more food so I don't lose anymore weight--I'm good where I'm at. And I certainly wouldn't mind more food. I eat Solid Gold's Wolf King food--the main ingredient is bison. I feel like howling at the moon after supper every day!

I'm actually at the boarding kennel right now because my owner graduated from college on Saturday. She'll be picking me up this afternoon--after I get groomed as a Christmas present to my owner's mom. I can't wait for all of the attention I'm going to get, all trimmed up and clean and pretty! They never shave me--the one time they did, I got really bad skin infections--but I get trimmed like a show dog instead. And I get bows in my ears! I'm so adorable. Maybe my owner will take a picture of me and post it here for everyone to see!
