!April's Diary!

4/4/09

I was sitting at the computer when I noticed April twitching every so often on the ground next to me. After watching her for about 30 seconds to make sure she wasn't just dreaming, I called my mom over and she said she was having mini-seizures and was probably on her way out. It was upsetting to hear of course, even though I knew she didn't have much time left anyway. I had her take her to the other room and after a few minutes I went in to sit with her. I decided that I'd rather she be put to sleep then have to go like this in pain. She wasn't very conscious of her surroundings either and she had been on fluids for the past weeks(and more recently painkillers). I really hate to see her in this condition too.
She will be missed greatly, as she was the first dog we got that was actually mine, but it makes me glad to think she'll be with Sassy and our other pets who have passed on.

RIP April.

Not Doing So Well

Let's start off with something fun first! My birthday was on february 4th. I turned 14!

The not so good part; I went over to the vet the other day and my liver values are high. They gave me some medicine for it, but I've been barfing up my food lately and now the medicine so they've stopped that. I got fluids today and might go on some new meds tomorrow.

My Birthday!

Okay, soooo it was on the 4th. I haven't had time to update this since then! I had a lot of fun! Thanks to all the dogs who wished me a happy birthday or gave me rosettes. :)
I got to go out to visit some friends and try on a sweater moms Grandma is making for me. It was so pretty! She's going to make it a bit smaller, though, so you guys won't get to see it yet! =P
I also got lots of treats!

I'm 12 now...but I sure don't feel it!

MARDog Howl-o-ween Parade

On saturday I met Jombie and Braxton.(Well, Jombie for the second time, first time Sassy met her, and first time we all met Braxton) It was a lot of fun! We went to Jombie's house afterwards and I made myself comfortable in her bed after playing a bit. =3 We took a lot of pictures too, hehe.

At the Howl-o-ween parade we were supposed to show the judges what tricks we knew. I did my little dance and then the judge asked Mom if I would come when she called me. Mom got me to stay in one spot, walked a few paces away, then called me. I was so confused with grandma in one spot and all the dogs who were playing in the dog park watching from the fence. I wouldn't come to mom or sit for her either(I don't really know that command...). So anyway, I won Best Little Dog and Sassy won Most Obedient. :)

April's Big Adventure!

Would you believe it? They left me outside alll night! I was around until 5:30 in the morning and was actually barking at one point but moms dad thought that it was Snowie(who is staying with us at the moment). So Mom woke up at 8:30 only to be told that April was missing(no where in the house, no where to be seen outside). Grandma had been looking for an hour already. Then mom came and they looked for another hour. Then grandma went inside and made calls and mom made Missing posters. Soon enough, after grandma had called the police, we got a call back from them.
I had been wandering down the middle of the road, minding my own business, whenthis man stopped his car and scooped me up. I was perfectly capable of finding my way home...even if was going in the wrong direction. The mommy came and got me with grandma and now I'm home. =3

Yay!!

I won 4th place in the memorial day stroll!! I'm so honored. Bones for everypup! :)

Yay!

Yesterday we went to petsmart. :) Mommy got me mini dental rawhide bones and Sassy got some big femur bone..or something. I peed in the store, but there was stuff to clean up dog messes with, so I don't see why my people cared so much. It's not MY fault there weren't any interesting smells outside on the grass.. And I kept having backwards sneezes(basically sounds like me hacking).
When we got home, mommy gave me and Sassy our bones. :) Sassy's had to get taken away before bed because she was drinking too much. Mommy let me carry mine upstairs. I buried it in the blankets on her bed with my nose and then went to sleep.

Honey and Pipi!

We adopted Honey!!! Yay! I'm so happy! We're getting a house now. This is the house. I think it looks cozy, and a perfect place to raise pups!
We are now going to be adopting Pipi, another little dachshund puppy. She is 5 months old.(As long as she likes us too!!)

I'm so happy!

Yes I am! JR and I have finally gotten married! I love him so much! The reception went great and the party is awesome! We are looking at houses now. =)
AND, we are also looking to adopt a puppy! We found one that we have just fallen in loev with! Her name is Honey. She is so cute! I really hope she likes us too!

OMD!!!!

JR made such a wonderful Valentine's dinner! There were flowers everywhere and he made the whole meal himself! And then, this is the best part, he proposed to me!!! And of course, I said yes! I love JR with all my heart and soul! He's the best guy a girl could ask for!! I LOVE YOU JR!

Goin' To Snowie's

We went to Snowie's today and yesterday.
Yesterday we went to this huge woods place with a bunch of paths. Lots of people like to walk their dogs their. It was fun, I guess. At the end of the trip in the parking lot, some people at their dogs off-leash, so grandma picked me up. The australian shepherd and german shorthaired pointers came over and kept tryin' to get to my butt. I told them off, but they ignored me until grandma pushed them back into the ground.
Today we went back for breakfast. After breakfast I sat on Snowie's dads lap for a while before we had to go on a walk down to the park near Snowie's house. They have a new rule that dogs aren't allowed to go their, but they still do. It was raining part of the way, so my paws got muddy.

Another Awesome Night

I went to the Botanicle Gardens with JR and then he served me dinner. It was absolutely delicious! I had a great time. ;)

Sassy and I are going to visit Snowie and family tomorrow. Should be interesting.

A Night Out At The Doggy Restaurant

JR and I went out to the Doggy Restaurant tonight. They have amazing food. Anyone looking for a good meal should head down there. JR and I had a great time together, and I hope to go somewhere(possible back to the Doggy Restaurant) together soon.
I really can't wait for Sassy's and Scarfo's wedding on Valentines Day. JR agreed to be my date. Snowie is also going, and I'm pretty sure she'll invite Chaz. The cats will probably be lurking around in the back to watch, hehe. Sally and Sadie will be watching up on the rainbow bridge.
JR and I might go somewhere else tomorrow.
But right now it's time to get some beauty sleep! bol.

I'm in love!

I'm in love and I don't care who knows it! bol. JR is my boyfriend, and hopefully we'll be together for the rest of our lives, and over rainbow bridge. :) I love him with all my heart and soul and would do most anything for him. I'm sure this relationship will last.

Breaking Up..

I'm breaking up with Sunny. His page has been in the kennel for..what seems like forever, and he hasn't spoken to me or replied to my dogmail in two weeks. :( I guess it was just puppy love. He will always have a place in my heart though.

Sassy's engaged! =D I'm so happy for her! Congratulations Scarfo and Sassy!!

I was just invited to join a group for poodles(or poodle mixes). These...groups..are unfamiliar to me. But maybe I'll get the hang of them soon.

I just got a boyfriend!!

I'm so excited! :) His name is Sunny and he is a toy poodle like me. H'es younger, but age doesn't really matter to either of us. ;) I think we look really cute together, and so does mommy!

Happy New Year! It's finally the year of the dog. :P

Christmas

Christmas day was...kinda fun. o.o; I hid in my box(crate) after being let out because the scary man with the hat on, who's trying to take my place as alpha of this pack, was downstairs. What do my people see in him? *sigh*
I got a small peanut butter filled bone though. Sassy keeps trying to steal it. We went to Snowie's house at about 12:30, I got brushed all the way their because I got a...bath... the day before. *heh* Anywaaay, I got a bone their too, but I wouldn't chew it. I spent most of the time running around peoples feet, and making a bed under the couches/chairs and coffee table. I laid in Snowie's dads lap for a while before laying with my mommy. She then started saying my name into some annoying game that kept barking(Nintendogs). It was so confusing. She kept calling my name, but I was right next to her. I finally ditched her to go find something else to eat.

That night I continued to chew my bone before laying with my mom to go to sleep.

Our other friend, Oreo- a 100+ lb, dumb, black lab-, gave me and Sassy each a bag of treats. ^-^
