Sassy's a bridge doggy now. I know she's watching over our family and playing with all the other bridge dogs. She was a very happy dog, even until the end. When she saw me this morning I saw her wag her tail and I sat down beside her and pet her for a while.
I know I'm going to miss her so much and April will be a little lost without her for a while.

Not doing too good...

"Okay, I had this typed and when I pushed submit, Dogster was getting a bath. Mom was a bit frustrated but she's better now, hehe.

For any who don't know, my bladder tumor came back a few months ago and it's been hard for me to pee(and it's been all bloody). I can't hold it in anymore so I pee in the house because I have to go all the time. Lately they've been putting newspaper down(the kittens love it haha).
Today I couldn't pee at all so grandma warned mom that it didn't look too good. At lunch time I threw up my breakfast, which meant the urine was poisoning my body(or something like that, mom can't remember grandma's exact wording). She got me a painkiller, but was thinking of having the vet put me to sleep tonight because it didn't look too good. She took me out to pee again and nothing came out, but after a few seconds the pee came gushing out along with a part of the tumor(which grandma saved to show one of the vets she works with. we know there's still more tumor in there).
She's going to put off that ...thing... until I get worse again.. We're not sure when that'll happen.

NJ Dogster Meetup & Updates

The Dogster meetup yesterday was so much fun! I met so many pups like Odysseus, Murphy, Jovi, Molly, Mimi, Esperanza, Brutus, Pudgy, Spuds, Richter, and many more! They were all so sweet and adorable. Snowie and April also got a go. We got cool goodie bags with home made treats(half of which I have devoured already). Bol!
When we got there, Brutus was loose, and it took them about 40 minutes to catch him! Poor pup, but we're glad he's safe. :)
April won smallest dog(I think she may have tied with that papillon, but I can't remember) and Snowie won fluffiest! Esperanza and Spuds tied for Wiggliest butt!
Mom chose the giraffe costume for April and got a Dogster tee from Snowie's win.
Snowie and I also entered in the treat catching contest. Snowie caught 4 or 5 and I caught around 7. That was fun! We took A LOT of pictures. Some are up on my page now. April and I slept all the way home! Snowie tried to, but she always has to stay alert in the car for some reason.

Anyway, updates on my health. I'm still peeing blood, but atleast I'm not throwing up. I pee in the house at night, but grandma doesn't care as long as something is coming out. If it ever comes to a time where I can't pee, then there will be a hard decision to make. She isn't sure if they're going to want to do ANOTHER surgery on an old girl like me. Mom's staying positive though! I'm still happy and pretty active for my age. :)

Dang!

Mom won't give me any treats today either! I had some diarrhea in the living room when mom woke up at 6 AM. She was just glad that she couldn't smell it because of her nasty cold, and that grandma cleaned it up! Mom's not really sure what could have caused the diarrhea. She'll see what Grandma says about me when she gets home from work.

Feeling better..

Kind of. Grandma stopped giving me my medicine, in case that was making me throw up. And she has a feeling my bladder tumor is back(I had bloody pee a while ago and it takes me forever to go) so the medicine isn't really helping much anyway. I can eat a little bit more(I can have treats again! But not as many) and I get my canned food with water now.
We'll just have to see how things go, I guess.

(9-9-07) I've vomitted up my food twice today(once in the house and once outside), so no more food for me. :( I'm so upset! I love getting treats! I've been begging and begging for treats, but they won't give me any!

Edit-- Make that three times I've thrown up. :( Grandma said she might give me a shot to help or something.
They still won't give me treats!!

Ouch

So we went to our house in upstate New York friday night. On saturday I was running around in the field all happy with mom and grandma and grandma's friend(and April). Grandma's friend commented on how happy I looked(and I was because I love it there!). So we went in the field off to the side of the barn and I ran into the center which wasn't completely mowed yet. Everyone else continued on the path until they heard me yelp and they all spun around. I jumped up in the air, walked a few paces, then collapsed in the grass and began panting. They ran over and kneeled down beside me and began checking me over.(Grandma and Grandma's friend work at an animal hospital) They couldn't find any bite marks from another animal or any other wounds(or anything wrong with me for that matter). Mom tried to pull me up and all I could manage was a sit. They got behind me and lifted up my legs so that I was standing and I limped back to the house with them. It wasn't fun! My whole weekend was ruined. :( I couldn't take any pain killers because of the medicine I am on to try and keep the cancer away. Saturday I layed around as much as I could and got helped up the stairs.
And then it got worse! There were fireworks! Everyone was outside watching them while Wally, Kanga, April, and I all stayed in the house. I got so upset that I pawed the metal off the bottom of the door and some of the wood. Someone had gone in the house to put something away and noticed, but didn't want to let me out so she told mom and mom came and let April and I out and put us in the car. I was a lot happier there! April didn't really care about the fireworks, though.
Sunday I perked up a bit and padded around faster than yesterday, but there was still a bit of a limp and I needed help getting up and down places sometimes.
Now we're home and I can rest more. Tomorrow one of the doctors is going to check me out at the animal hospital.

Bladder Surgery Again

I'm having another bladder surgery(third one) tomorrow morning. Mom's mom noticed it was taking longer for me to pee and I had to pee more often. She wants the tumor out before it gets bigger. Mom's mom works at the animal hospital so she'll be able to check up on me. I'll keep everypup posted. As of now, I'm not allowed to eat. :( And I love treats!

Meeting Jombie & Braxton + MARDog Howl-o-ween Parade

I met Jombie and Braxton on Saturday!(Late to say this, I know) Their owners are so sweet, and Jombie won the Petco contest! Hooray! After the contest we went to Jombie's house. The humans got pizza and brownies and we got a few treats. =3 It was fun! I got to see Felix too, but he didn't seem to like me very much. =/ I love kitties! I played with Raskol next door when we went outside. After spending 3 hours at their house we had to go home. :( But we had a lot of fun! April was pretty well behaved(aside from growling at the standard poodle at petco) and Jombie and Braxton's mommies/families were so nice!

On Halloween we went to the dog park where a group called MARDog was hosting a halloween costume contest. Mom's friend and her dog went too. They had doggy treats and cookies/chocolate and cider for the humans. You have no idea how many people thought my costume said MR BONE. Even when I went trick or treating with mom people thought it said MR BONE.(?!?!) Anyway, there were quite a few other doggies their. One was a lady bug, another was a sargent, another a skeleton, another a groom-to-be, another was just Toto, another a pumpkin, and a few were just dressed up. April was a witch and I, of course, was a milkbone. They had us do a few tricks for the judges(some simple stuff, walking on a leash, and also whatever you wanted to throw in). They had many categories. Moms friends dog tied with me in Most Obedient(and her dog also won Best Trick) and April won Best Small Dog. April got a big bag of treats and I got a portable dog water bowl thing. It was fun!

More Surgery :(

I had to get surgery again on friday. It was 5 hours long.. There was another tumor in my bladder, it was farther down this time and in the tubes where the pee comes out. I recovered much better than last time though! Mom's sad that she was away while all this happened(grandma, grandpa, and brother chris were here). But my tummy is bald again.

The farm

We went to our house in upstate New York this weekend. Well, it's more of a farm..without any animals(aside from the wild ones). And guess who came along for the car ride? Wally and Kanga-Roo. They were very good for their first long car ride. :) When we got their I did laps around the field before going inside to eat. There was a yummy smell coming from the bathroom though. So, when mommy opened the bathroom door their was garbage and animal poop all over the floor(they're not sure what animal got into the bathroom. They've narrowed it down to Raccoon or cat because the poops were pretty big). Grandma got that cleaned up...
The next day we went on a walk down the road to the pond the beavers made. They wouldn't let me go down to the water(not like I was going to swim anyway, but it was hot..). I ran around and laid around for the rest of the day...except when they started lighting off bottle rockets. I did not like that one bit, so mom sat with me inside while I shook the couch. :P
And this morning we came home. The kittens were also very good then too.(they were mostly brought so Tank could have the house to herself for the whole weekend)

WOW!

Wow! I'm a Diary Pick of the day! *tail wagging* Bol, mommy just found out now at 7:01 PM because it was put under Spam on her mail. Good thing she checked!!!
And another surprising thing is, there's a kitten living with us now! I'm afraid of her though, because she is scared of me and spats, arches her back, and hisses at me. Tank doesn't like the kitten either...Let me rephrase that. Tank doesn't like ANY cats. BOL! Sarge used to get in fights with the cat who lived across the street(when he was younger and before the poor cat was hit by a car-hit and run-). But the people who live their got a calico kitten and another black and white cat(kind of eerie considering we have the same...bol)
I pooped in the house yesterday(laundry room) and the people couldn't figure out what the smell was coming from. Hehe, it was fun until they found it. I felt guilty and went in my corner and sulked. :( Grandma says it wasn't my fault. And for a second she thought Sarge could've done it, BOL!!!

PETsMART

Last night mommy and grandma took April and I to petsmart. :) At first I was afraid, because those big doors opened on their own..but once we got inside I saw other dogs, and many delicious smells. Mommy really only went to get a riding helmet, but got something for each of the pets. She let me pick out my own bone! Well, the second one I picked out...the first one was over $15..April got some mini dental rawhide bones(that I'm not allowed to have because they are too small) and a new collar(her old collar was really a cat collar). The cats got a new catnip toy(Sarge keeps ripping the other ones up..) and the guinea pigs got treats in the shape of pretzels. We also had to get cat litter and guinea pig food. We didn't have time to get the bird a new perch though..
You know what was funny? April peed in the store..good thing they had a little station with paper towels and bags! There was also a really old american eskimo dog that looked a little bit like Snowie(but with some brown around the eyes). There was also a puppy training class going on.
When we were leaving mommy started talking to a lady with a maltese puppy named Chico. The puppy was so little and so cute! The lady was asking questions about April(cause the maltese puppy wouldn't get much bigger than April).

And Lady Bug chose me as her pup pal of the week! I feel so honored. :) Thankyou Lady Bug!(you can check out her website, freewebs.com/k9princess/)

Yep, happy valentines day!

Dogster...PLUS!

Yay! We got Dogster plus today! Mommy added more photos of me!!

I ate a tube of Laxatone!

It used to be Sadie's, and was in the garbage in the bathroom, and I snuck it out and ate it, and some of the packaging it was in. It just smelled so good! I coudn't help myself. My people didn't seem so pleased when they found out, though...(note from mom: She didn't eat enough of the package for it to get stuck inside her)
Why do they make all this stuff so yummy smelling?
Anyway, Snowie should be coming over friday to spend the night. It should be fun...sorta..

Two Days At Snowie's

Yesterday we went to Snowie's. Before dinner we went to these woods that have paths through them that people bring their dogs to so they can walk around. It was fun. We met two black labs(we met up with them quite a few times), a yellow lab(whose owner thought I was fast...and a boy..), an australian shepherd, two german shorthaired pointers, and a husky mix. Lotsa new doggy friends. :) Me and Snowie got to stay off leash the whole time, while April had to stay on leash cause grandma didn't trust her with all the other dogs.
The next day we went back to Snowie's for breakfast and went down to the park near Snowie's house where dogs aren't really supposed to go, but go anyway. Snowie and I chased a squirrel up into a tree..

I have a boyfriend!!

T.J. turned out to be a fake, and we weren't even together for a day!!
I found somebody better. :) His name is Scarfo and he's a yellow labrador retriever! We're the same age too. I'm so excited! I can't wait to tell everyone!

Christmas

Christmas is such a great day. =) So many treats. I got a yummy peanut butter filled bone and two squeeky toys.
In the afternoon we went to Snowie's house. She was very excited to see us. ^^ I got another bone their, even though it was really for Snowie. We also gave them two cat nip toys for their ancient cat.(about as old as Sadie, possibly older) At dinner I got some meat, along with Snowie and April. I begged my people for food during dinner, but they pushed me away. I kept trying to get April's bone that night, but she didn't really like that... Somebody finally gave it to me once April had left to go lay down. =D
