Arrival Story:
Jack was a 5 week old when I first met him. I fostered him until he was able to be adopted. A year later, his adoptive family told me he was too much to handle and they couldn't keep him. He was showing a lot of dog-aggression and was getting into a ton of trouble. Since I was preparing to move into a pet-friendly apartment and was ready for a dog, I decided it was meant to be and adopted him. I became Jack's official Mom in May of 2004.

Bio:
******Jack was put to rest on October 22nd, 2007. He won't be fighting his demons anymore. See you at the Rainbow Bridge my love.****** Jack has been by far one of the most difficult dogs I've ever had to train. His dog aggression meant he was highly reactive and easily distracted. However I knew he had an amazing mind. He was never really meant to be a pet; Jack is a working dog and his job is obedience. I am a dog trainer so he gets to come to work with me and demonstrate to my classes. Getting him to tolerate dogs was a long, hard journey, but it paid off. Jack earned his Canine Good Citizen Award on September 13th, 2005. Our first UKC obedience competition is in November, and hopefully we will be on our way to a CD title. I have bonded strongly to this dog; we have become a great working team and he is a wonderful pet (as long as he's tired).
