I turn 2 this coming 12/23/06. I can't believe it. Mom and dad are letting me off the leash (outside the fence!) to play ball or with my flippy floppy (soft frisbee). It's a great time. Sometimes I get a little distracted and run off a bit. My parents like to run with me although they keep calling my name and telling me to come. I just want to have fun and run, run, run. I come back pretty quick though so I won't make them worry too much. They are so protective, the goofballs.
I still want to be in the lead when we are walking. I can't figure out why mom and dad keep tugging on my leash when all I want to do is show them the way. Hmmmm, makes a doodle wonder.
My big sister, Zuzi, the little Yorkie is still bossing me around. I try not to get her mad but I'm a happy fellow and I like to run from room to room. Sometimes she's in the way and I jump over her. She doesn't like it and tries to nip at my legs. Gee, I can jump over her with no problem. I don't get that either. She's 1/2 deaf and blind but she still yells at me a lot. Grumpy old dog. :-)
I still sleep in my crate in the kitchen. I like it and sometimes go in there when I'm really tired but most of the time I'm around my parents or sleeping on the couch when they don't see me. LOL Sometimes I get to sleep upstairs with my parents. Mom bought me a wonderful bed to sleep on. I can't go on their bed even though Zuzi can. Sleeping upstairs is a special treat every once in a while.
Well, that's my update.
Hi to all my pals,

It's me, Traveller!
My parents are purebred dogs. Mom is a Yellow Labrador Retreiver. She is pretty special because she is part of a special group of dogs that retrieve. Her owner has many dogs that have won awards for this. I'm not sure if my doggy mom has any awards. My doggy dad is a big handsome black standard poodle. That makes me a F1 Labradoodle. (First generation Labradoodle).
I have my doggy mom's coloring but my body is shaped liked my dad - poodle. Long legs and thin waist. It's hard to tell under all my wavy fur that I'm really so lean. I'm definitely a Doodle.
I love to hike with my human mom and dad. They take me out into the woods. Lots of good smells. I even climbed (ran) up a mountain. I left my mom and dad in the dust and took off and got to the top a good half-hour before them. I was so proud!
On the way I found a dead frog and rolled in that just to smell like nature.
My mom and dad weren't very happy that I made it to the top before them and for some really STRANGE reason, they didn't like my froggy smell.
They said I was stinky. (What do they know?) They also told me I was bad for running off without them. I was fine, of course. It's just too bad they couldn't keep up with me. I guess they should try a little harder.
I love my forever home and my big "little" sister, Zuzi. She's a Yorkshire Terrier. Even though she doesn't like to play with me. A playful nip on the butt doesn't seem to help, but I'll keep trying until she comes around.
