Play fetch with her terry cloth piggies (yes, she has more than one!)
Car rides! Hates them! Whines, cries, runs all over car and FREAKS!
Her pink, squeaky terry cloth piggy, of course! The vet had to pump her stomach of chocolate and found a lot of pink string there too.. from the piggy.
BANANAS! and everything else we give her. She loves fruit the most I think.
On top of us. She thinks we are her "cat walks" . If we lay on the bed she just walks all over us, if we're on our side, back, whatever.
She can get her long tongue into any orafice of your face while she has you pinned down around your neck with her front arms. There's no escaping her, believe me! She loves to clean noses and ears, YUCK!
I looked for a mix of her breed on the internet for my mother as a surprise for Christmas for months and months.. A friend had a dog "in prison" at the shelter for bad behavior and one day we were visiting her dog and my friend asked if they had a maltese mix there. They said "yes". She asked, a female? "yes" How old? "About 1 1/2 years". I kept saying You're kidding!! I was so excited, there was a puppy I've been searching for right here in my own home town! They said she would be available for adoption the next day but come early someone else was very interested in her. I gathered up all the cash I had on hand knowing they would be auctioning this dog off , she was going to be popular. The day came, the bidding for the puppy opened because as I thought, the other person wasn't about to let me just have her, and the bidding went higher and higher. I thought I wasn't going to be able to get this dog after all. Do you know that after praying about this puppy being the right one, the bidding stopped right at the amount we had? If the lady had bid once more we would have had to give in and lost the dog because I wouldn't have had anymore money to bid with! It cost $345.00 plus impound fees to adopt our sweet Sugar and she's well worth it! Thank God because this Sugar Bugar has brought a lot of laughter to our home!!!
Come to find out by a groomer and vet, our supposed "MALTEESE" is actually a Bichon Frise, pure bred! yea! She's the best! (I like to call her "bitchen freeze" but Mom scowls at me when I do, hee hee.
Not only was Sugar the most expensive pound dog I paid for at the shelter, she ended up costing us about another thousand in Pet Co and vet bills because of my mother wanting to spoil her - Sugar was my Christmas gift to my mother so I bought all the goodies to go along with her, and then Sugar got into some Chocolates someone left out! Oh brother did that make her sick quick! We had to drive her to an emergency vet 20 minutes away and thought we were going to loose her. The vet kept her overnight after pumping her stomach and doing other life saving procedures. That bill alone was almost $700. ACK. In one month, total, this stray dog we adopted from the local animal shelter cost us about $1500. lol. And I thought it was going to be a frugal gift. HA. Like I said, she's all worth every penny and more. She sits with my mother while Mom reads her paper and watches over her. They love each other a lot.
Sugar also got my greyhound mix Lady to start playing. Lady used to just lay around with me, two arthritic women (Lady and I) laying around all day, being lazy. Along comes this little Sugar and the whole house changes tone. My Lady dog is playing like a puppy and I'm chasing Sugar around the house while she plays keep a way with her piggies.
There is not a boogar I cannot find!

Today my "sis" and Mama are "Bombing" the houses for my fleas! They gave me something called a "Cap Star" (I tried to spit it out, believe me guys! But as usual the humans won again) . The Cap Star is supposed to get RID OF MY FLEAS for 24 hours! AGGGH! I'm going to miss those little guys, whaa. What am I going to do all day now? Without my little flea friends I won't be scratching and biting... What else to life IS THERE, anyway??? Huh?
Poor, poor fleas. (sniffle, whimper).
Good-bye My Flea Friends!
Signed with great regret,

As you may or may not already know, my best doggie friend, Lady, died 6/6/06. The humans took her somewhere and she never came home. From the feeling of my humans around the house I realize Lady is never going to come home again. Every time my "sis" says her name "Lady" while she's talking to my Mama, I can't help but cry a bit for her.
My "sis" tried to bring home a new dog but she didn't stay very long, just one day and we knew the new dog wasn't compatible with my Mama and me too.
I hope Lady is an angel like my "sis" keeps saying. Then she can watch me play without her. I'm going to miss Lady very much. We used to play and she let me stick my head in her mouth and she wouldn't hurt me. She also let me nip at her shins while we played, I know it bugged the heck out of her but she let me do it anyway because she was my best buddy.
Lady was getting very weak, her legs sometimes just went out from under her and sometimes she wasn't able to get back up on her own. And Lady was yipping a lot because she was in pain. My human "sis" says she's not in pain anymore. That's a good thing.
This isn't easy but my Mama and my human brother and sister will help me, they play with me now that Lady can't.
I love my humans.

These crazy humans have no idea what they're doing, do they???
Come to find out (der! I've been trying to tell them!) I am NOT a malteese mix afterall! HMPH!
They finally figured out that I am a Bichon Frise, (probably pure bred they say, no kidding!) So now I have a whole new group of friends and have the group of old friends when I was a "Malteese", heh, heh. Oh I say the more the merrier anyway, what the heck.
I like it when my "sis" calls me a Bitchen Freeze to my Momma, it makes Momma scrunch up her face and say, "That's not a nice thing to say about my Sugar!" and then Momma picks me up and cuddles with me and loves me with those funny human love words, like "That's my BABY!" and "She's not very nice for a sister, is she Sugar Baby?" Stuff like that. That's when my "sis" rolls her eyes and says, "That dog is more spoiled than any of your grandchildren!" (what is a "grandchildren, anyway? send an email if you know the answer to this mystery!)
Ha, ha. I like to make my "sis" jealous when I give Momma kisses and Momma loves me up like that. heh, heh.
Well, that's all for now, just had to let you know the humans figured me out! It's about time, I've been here a year now! Sheesh!
Join the Bitchen Freeze group and tell me the silly things your humans do!
