On March 07 2005 my new Mom got a phone call from Texas, she lives in Kansas. Her best friend of 20 years had passed away in the night. This Mom had 6 of us Bassets and her hubby was wanting my new Mom to help place them in a new home. Mom found homes for all of them but 2 and they are still there and doing very good.
My name is Reppa's Andy of Stomeyhill, (Andy) I was born May 10 1998 so that makes me 7 year old. My new Mom took me and another with her (Little Lilly Langtree) who is the daughter to Paddie who my Mom who passed away had. My new Mom had told everyone that she was just going to take Lilly home with her. When the new Mom got there her heart simply broke, she had so much to do and so many that needed her to be strong and help them through. Our Dad was beside him self and so lost but the New Mom seemed to know what to do. Phone calls were made and she to gether with Dad found a place for us. The new Mom then decided to take me Home with her. She said I may get in trouble Andy but that is OK. You Andy you are a part of who she and I were as I use to help show you as a puppy at the Dog Shows we went to.
Andy you are in her Heart far away and I am going to bring her heart home with me through you. I was so Happy my New Mom felt that way as I knew I would always have a special home and a special place in her heart.
My New Mom has been simply wonderful and does many things with me. She Loves to take me and my roomy Paddie and do pictures with us so she is always trying to come up with ideals for that. I did have trouble when I first got here as I did nothing but cry and cry. My new Mom was so understanding and said to me I Miss her to and I know you miss your home. But this is your home now and I know that Mom Mary would want you to be Happy and I am trying really hard to do that. I cried for a few more days and then I knew it was time to stop. My Roomy Paddie's use to cry with me to and as I cried he was ever so kind as my new Mom as he would sit and wash my tears away as he licked me to let me know it was OK and he understood. You see My ol Mom was his Grandmom.
It has been 7 months now and I am a Happy Boy in my new Home and both My new Mom and Dad love me very much.
I Thank the Basset's and my Mom Mary for helping me to find a Wonderful and Loving Home.
Also I want to Thank with Love in my heart and a wage of my tail, my new Mom and my Roomy Paddie for helping me to get through and for Loving me still afterwards.
