Sissy's 5th Birthday

On August 28, 2009, Sissy celebrated her fifth birthday. We took her to Petsmart and let her go shopping and she got food, and three toys. We also went and picked up her photos she had done at Olan Mills. One of which is her primary photo. She had a wonderful day and wonderful summer. She learned how to jump off a raft in the pool and swim to the stairs. She spent a lot of time in the pool this year. She is now waiting for the fall of the year for the crisp, cool mornings to take a walk. She is truly a happy Cairn.

My 4th birthday

Today August 28, 2008 is my 4th birthday. It is also a sad day for my mommy. Her 16.5 year old Cairn terrier, Vincent went to the Rainbow bridge on August 28, 2004, the same day and year I was born.

I started out my birthday by getting out of bed around 9:45. A girl has to have her beauty rest. Mom was taking pictures of me. I went out for the morning sniff and bathroom break and Mom was making a video. Then I cam back in for breakfast of scrambled eggs, yogurt and dog food. Then back out for a potty break. I am now back in getting ready for my brushing of fur and teeth and a day of relaxation. It has been raining here alot, so no playing outside. My mom says we will party tonight when daddy gets home. She is going to Petco or Petsmart to get me something special and some special things for my brothers, Hickory & Scamp and diva friend, Nicky. Her birthday was yesterday.

I lubs my life and my family. I hope all the homeless, abused puppies out there find homes real soon like me. Oh yeah, I am entered in the Hickory Daily Record All American Pet Contest. Sissy's third birthday

I celebrated my third birthday with my family. I won the Doggie Days of Summer contest on 8/21/07 sponsored by Camp Lonestar Rescue. I won a trophy, gift bag, dress, lots of neat stuff. I also learned this summer how to get in the pool. I lubs getting in the water. I had a great year.

Sissy learns to get in the pool

On Saturday, June 30, 2007, Sissy learned to get in the pool by herself. She jumps in on the top step and plays with her ball like a kitten. She even jumped in with the ball in her mouth. She rides on the float and can swim the entire length of the pool. Our pool is 18x28. She is truly remarkable.
Then on Sunday we took her to Lowe's Hardware. Some guy on a motorcycle was aggrevating her, but she barked right back. She walked around in Lowe's like she owned it. Some people were looking at us, like what is a dog doing in here. My answer to that was she is better behaved than some kids. Happy 4th.

Today I am 2 years old.

Today was Sissy Girl's second birthday. I made a video of her from the time she woke up until bed. We took her to Petsmart to get a gift and she was the perfect little girl. She loved watching the birds and fish. She got alot of neat gifts from her friends. She got two packages from her brother, Hickory, who lives in Maryland. She had a wonderful day and now is in the bed. Happy Birthday, my little cairn.

This day is also a sad day for us. 2 years ago today we lost our 16.5 year old Cairn, Vincent. I miss him very much and think of him when I look at Sissy. We were and are blessed with two wonderful dogs. Life is Good.

Our first year

We adopted Sissy on Dec 4, 2004. She was a rescue at the age of 1 month. She was born 8/28/04, the day our 16.5 year old Cairn Vincent died. He was 31 pounds, she is 13 pounds. She is a fire ball. She loves life and everything around her. Her tail never stops wagging. Our first year has been a whirlwind. It went by so fast. She has learned so much and become a real part of our lives. She was blessed during the Blessing of the Animals, featured in the 2006 Faces of Rescue calendar by Col Potter. What a joy she is and she is loved dearly
