Arrival Story:
Sasha picked us. We went to the animal shelter after we lost an earlier pet. She stuck her muzzle out of the pen and made contact with us. I believe pets choose us. She was a stray - for good reason - she runs away and goes pretty far. We only had her a few weeks and she escaped from the garage. She slipped her collar and chewed the wire of the garage door opener and the door opened. We began to call her "houndini". Anyways, we got a call the next day from someone from across the lake. She had crossed the frozen lake and was directly across from us, on the other side of the lake. Took 30 minutes by car to retrieve. Fortunately she had a second collar that had her name and our phone number on it. After that we installed Invisible Fence. After a little training, she now stays home and is very happy with us. When we got her, she was only 1 1/2 years old and we were her fourth owners. Apparantly she had a history of disappearing.
