Arrival Story: Got her as a puppy rescue from the RSPCA. Her mommy came in pregnant after a divorce. They each owned a pure bred rottie, so she has the full paperwork, though that was never important to me. I came looking for a mix, and just fell in love. I still am.
When I got there her mother was lying outside the house (she was at a house, so no cages) on a chain. I thougth she might want to protect the property or her puppies. No problem there. She greeted me, licked me, showed me her tummy, and tried to beg food off me! Like mother like daughter. Fifi was the smallest of the 3 remaining puppies. They were being given away a bit too early, but the vet recommended it. Her mother, Tanya was very stressed, between the divorce, loosing her human mommy, her rottie companion, and having 9 puppies at the age of 7, she was a basket case, and needed to get away from the puppies. The two were making lots of noise and woofing, and then there was this little one just looking at me, too small to reach me. I picked her up and looked her in the face. She licked my nose, and that was it. I was sold. I had always wanted a dog, but wanted to wait until my ancient cat was no longer with us. Then I wanted 18 months, and then decided it was now or never. I had told my family and friends I was going to look, but they didn't think I was coming home with anyone. I didn't tell my dad I was looking, he would have advised against it. As babysitters are important, I need my parents. I got Fifi, and went to my parents. My mom was at her parents, but my dad was home. I started walking up up the stairs telling him I had a surprise. I had her in my arms. It was late, and he was lying in bed watching tv. He looked at her and said-whose is that? She's mine I replied. Then I put her on his tummy.She lay there licking his face and sleeping for the next hour. He fell in love then and there. She is a joy to be with. Loves everyone, dog, cat or human. but she does hog the bed!

I've Been On Dogster Since:
It was my second birthday yesterday and boy did I have fun. First mommy took me into the forest to go mushroom and berry picking with her friend Pål and his doggie Tara. Ok, I don't like Tara much, but I like Pål, so I put up with her. It was so much fun. Mommy and Pål picked lots of mushrooms and a few cranberries, and I ran around like a crazy doggie enjoying the air, digging and rolling in the heather, and binging on sticks! We were out for hours, and the weather was perfect, sunny and not too hot. Heaven. Then my nanny picked me up and took me for another walk-around the lake north of Oslo. I love it there too-more woods and lots of other doggies to say hi to, and joggers to accost for cuddles! Then home to mommy who gave me my favourite fish pudding, and some custard for desert. Mommy tells me that the big pork roast that she promised me will be made in the next few days, she just has to get to the shop and find one. And that I will have to share a little bit with my kitty siblings! HMPH!! Then we snuggled in bed together. I love lying upside down with my head in mommy's arm crook while she kisses my nose and head! We've been together for almost 2 years now, and there is no looking back. Hey, even the cats are starting to like me! At least they let me give them baths, which I love.
