Arrival Story:
Kirbie was a surprise puppy. After we got our first house, I knew I wanted a dog, and especially a Golden. I had friends who had Goldens that I enjoyed being with, so I knew this was the breed I wanted. We saw a news program on assistance dogs, and there was a Golden named "Kirby", and I told Dave I wanted a Kirby dog. Every time Dave asked, I kepy saying I wanted a Kirby dog. Daves' coworker knew a breeder who had an excess of puppies that they were getting rid of, so he took two and told Dave he could have one. Dave wanted to surprise me, so he said we were going to "pick up some papers" at his co-workers house. When we arrived, I saw all 7 of their dogs. so I started asking their names - Max, Anna, Phalen, Herbie??? It soon was time to leave, and they asked if I was going to take MY dog home! Kirbie has been a joy to us, and a wonderful companion. She is not quite as spry as she once was, but she is still fun and teaching us her new tricks every day.

Bio:
Kirbie is a well traveled dog. She has been on 3 major vacations with us - from MN to New York City , Washington DC and Niagra Falls, Key West Florida, and most recently to Grand Teton & Yellowstone Park. She is a great traveler, has visited 24 states in all, and makes friends everywhere she goes!
