Arrival Story:
Chuck was rescued through the DFW Pug Rescue group. He weighed 15 pounds, and all his bones were visible through his patchy black coat. He was a walking pug scab. However, he didn't know he looked pitiful. He acted like he was the greatest show dog in Dallas. As Aunt Jo famously remarked on his first day home, "Fake it til you make it, Chuck." In one month he had almost doubled his weight. He is now pushing the outer limits of a muscular 30 pounds, and his coal black coat is thick and full - no more scabs or patches. Chuck loves life and everyone in it, and we are all supporting actors in Chuck's Great Adventure. His snores and grunts and pugging-noises have become the soundtrack to my daily life.

Chuck can run down stairs without falling, and he likes to try to move furniture (sometimes succeeding). He is a burly little man, with a double-curled tail.
