Likes:
Sol is a snuggler who loves to squish in wherever there's lounging going on. He loves to forge ahead on walks, play tug or ball with his family, and he lurves to eat.

Pet-Peeves:
Sol really hates insects outside, the swarmy kind. He also doesn't like yelling, the vacuum cleaner, or mean people.

Favorite Toy:
a stuffed cat toy shaped like a mallard. It's ridiculous

Favorite Food:
Green tripe (ugh)

Favorite Walk:
Anywhere as long as it's not alone.

Best Tricks:
What Sol lacks in talent he makes up in charm.

Arrival Story:
Sol was originally named Norberto by staff at the Animal Haven shelter in NY. He was found outside their office tied to a pole with a note attached to him, surrendering him into their care. We saw his photo on their website and knew he was a match for our Luna. So we called and went to see him right away. Luna was terrified of the traffic in NY, and so their first meeting wasn't a resounding success. But we knew it could work so we filled out an application for adoption. Soon after, Sol became a cherished member of our family.

Bio:
Sol is a dream dog. He loves everyone. He is calm and sweet but playful and affectionate. He's responsive and low-maintenance--this boy is easy to please. After a year of working with him on his housebreaking, we finally determined that he has early stage renal failure. His numbers look fantastic and it appears we caught it very early, so we are optimistic that he will have a normal lifespan. Whoever gave him up, thank you, and you're missing out on a sensational family pet.
