Likes:
These days Jr. is slowing down, he is getting older and his leg bothers him, so he spends a lot of time lying down watching everything.

Pet-Peeves:
Taking a bath (who'd of thought?) and getting his nails cut (go figure!)

Favorite Toy:
His brother Carizzo and new baby sister, Trinket.

Favorite Food:
Uuuummmm....rotten deer carcass?

Favorite Walk:
Jr. doesn't like to take walks much these days, as he gets older, his leg bothers him more and more.

Arrival Story:
Jr. was about 5 months old when he was hit by a car and brought to the humane society by a good samaratin. All of the tendons, nerves and muscles under Jr.'s left front leg were severed. The vet at the humane society was going to take the easy route and just amputate Jr.'s leg, fortunately, the vet my sister worked for happened to be there at the time and asked if he could take the pup and try to fix his leg. I was visiting my sister on my lunch break when I met Jr...here was a pup with an incision from mid-way up his chest to 3/4 of the way up his side to his spine...with about a million stitches....all shaved and naked...dragging his front foot. He came right up to me wiggling all over from his nose to the tip of his tail....so very happy...even though he must have been in a great amount of pain. I could not let this pup spend the weekend in a cage so I took him home with the intention only of giving the little guy something to do. Needless to say, he only went back to the vet for checkups. A couple weeks later...just when we were starting to give up hope that his leg would work and that we would not end up having to amputate it anyways...his little foot flipped over and he started using the right side of his foot.

Bio:
Jr. is definately a gimp....his leg will not extend past a 90 degree angle so when he walks he looks like he is limping all the time...and when he runs...well, let's just say he has a very unusual gate and a very odd footprint pattern. Junior is having trouble these days keeping up with even me when I am walking, let alone the other dogs. I am trying to devise a way to carry him when we walk, he weighs quite a bit though.
