Arrival Story: The loss of our first daughter, Lunchbox, was devastating, and we desperately needed to have a baby pig in our bed again. We saw a listing on Petfinder for Zebrahead, a Boston Terrier living Broken Down Dogs Shelter in Alexandria, Louisiana and went to meet him. When we got there, Zebrahead was definetely not a Boston Terrier, but a very hyper chihuahua. In fact, all the dogs there were going crazy and barking, but there was one tiny dog who didn't say a word. Sitting quiety at the back of his cage was Mr. Oliver Toothpaste, then known as Poor Boy Roy, shaking like a leaf. We knew that we could not leave that baby after we saw him, so we saved our non-Boston son and brought him home to Natchitoches. After living in the shelter for half of his life, Oliver was very shell-shocked and had a hard time adjusting to life in our house. He was very scared of everything at first, and slept most of the time. He was such a zombie when we first found him, but in no time he figured out that he was safe! Oliver is very attached to his Daddy, who named him after another orphan, Oliver Twist. He learned how to play with toys thanks to some instruction from his cousin Hotis and his brother Pugsley, another rescue pup. Oliver has finally become a real boy and we are so proud of him. He is such a sweet baby dog and we love him.
