Pet-Peeves:
standing up after a long sleep (that arthritis makes it tough!), gophers and ground squirrels (though digging for them is fun!), the vet (especially the guy who tried to use the rectal thermometer...grr....)
Favorite Toy:
the goose my dad gave me (even though its stuffing is spread all over Mom's lawn I still like to pick up its remains and shake them for all they're worth)
Favorite Food:
beef bones from the local butcher, anything Grandma gives me from her plate (she loves to spoil me! :)
Favorite Walk:
down to the river where I can swim and play fetch
Arrival Story:
My ex-boyfriend and I adopted Nestle from the North Shore Animal Shelter on Long Island, NY. He wanted an older dog with good manners. We got that and a whole lot more! Nestle is a handful, but we love her so much. Inside the house she seems like the most mellow old girl, but once outside...watch out! She loves to run, swim, dig, chase balls, and anything else that gets her blood pumping.
Bio:
Nestle now lives with her mom on a farm in California. She's a regular Eva Gabor (from Green Acres) having moved from a little apartment in Brooklyn to a 20-acre farm. She seems to have made the transition nicely. With her often skunky odor and dirt-covered face she seems like she was born to be a farm dog.
