   Leave a bone for Chester

Chess, Old Man, Blind Deaf Dog, Woofles, Poopa-la

Doggie Dynamics:
not playfulvery playful

Quick Bio:

April 1st 1992

His chest scratched!

He doesn't like his feet touched, he'll even lay like a cat around small infants so they can't touch his feet.

Favorite Toy:
He never really liked toys. So I guess it's me!

Favorite Food:
He gets porkchops once a week to help keep his weight up

Favorite Walk:
Anywhere with Mom.

Best Tricks:
Avoiding capture. Alright he's too slow for that now. He can roll over. But that hurts now too. He can make me feel better when I'm sad and nothing will help!

Arrival Story:
When I was 5 my mothers dog had to be put down. I spent the next couple years REALLY wanting a dog. When I was seven my father said I could have a rabbit. So I got a rabbit, just not good enough. The next year my mother and I spent looking at puppies. When I was eight my dad caught us about to see these brittany pups (none of us knew what they were really) and insisted we all go. He though he'd prevent getting one. I picked up this lil tiny pup with a heart on it's side! When we got home I sat on my fathers lap and near strangled him until he said yes. We got a male so my dad wouldn't feel so left out. Chester and I bonded from the moment we went to pick him up weeks later. These past 16 years I'm still the only one he'll listen to or follow around!

When he was younger and we couldn't find one of the rabbits (we let them run lose during the day) he would go find them for me. Whatever particular one I wanted! He'd stop them at my feet, never touching them. He'd never hurt one, my first rabbit Spot and he were good buddies. I had to leave Chester behind when I joined the Navy, but a year a a half later I bought a house and had him come live with me. I had bought this little puppy to be his friend. He just wanted Sunny to disapear! About a month later he started to play with her and now they are inseperable. Now we are all up in Maine and he's happy to be where there's woods and field and his bunny rabbits. He's a very old boy with both kidney and heart disease which we try to keep in check. But I will not refuse him happiness either. He loves pigs ears after all. I can't believe he just turned 16!!!
