Oh my gosh. I have so much to fill all my pals in on. I have had so many adventures, I can barely think straight!!! I keep waiting for my Auntie to figure out how to email her pictures so she can email them to my Mom (don’t ask my Mom about how she lost her own camera). I can’t wait any longer! I will post pictures later!!!

My Grandma and Great Aunt came to visit me last week. They came all the way from New York and New Hampshire…just to see me!!!! Mom and Dad told me to be on my very best behavior. I found this task to be extremely challenging. First of all- I think I am always on my best behavior- even when Mom and Dad catch me doing something extremely naughty. So it was hard for me to figure out what they meant- but I tried!!! I don’t think Grandma or Aunt Becky are really dog people, so I was fighting an uphill battle the entire way!!! But I charmed them and my Aunt forgave me for making a poo on her bed!!! Because I am a pug!

We went to so many parks and gardens!!! We went to a Rhododendron garden which was really exciting. I saw some goslings and some ducklings! When I tried to get close to the goslings, the goose mommy started honking at me so I got really scared. I think she thought I wanted to play rough! I just wanted to smell them and sneeze on their baby feathers!!! Then we went to the Portland Rose Garden and I enjoyed that too. An elderly couple fell in love with me and could not figure out what kind of dog I was!!! So I continued to push the charm and let them know how loveable I am!!! I am a pug!!!! I had such a good time!! I went into a fountain really quickly until I realized the water was wet. That was really not cool.

My Aunt and Grandma loved to hear me snore. I can not help but snore when I sleep. I am a pug for goodness sakes! Usually I only like to take naps on my Mom or daddy’s laps. But for Aunt Becky I made an exception! I love her lap!!! She let me doze and I gave her an appreciative snore!!! I loved Grandma’s hair. It smells so good and I cannot wait to smell it again. I liked to get up on the back of the couch and smell and try to lick her hair. She was pretty patient with me so that was good news for the puggy!!!! I don't know when I am going to see them next. That is really sad for me. I hope they come back soon!!!!!!

The weather in Portland has been so hot! So Mom and Dad bought me a little baby pool. I do not particularly like it but sometimes like to please Mom and Dad so I try to humor them by getting in the pool and playing with the water. I like to take big steps and try to eat the water I splash. HAHA! What fun!!! I am such a silly pug.

In my next blog I am going to write about the pug crawl in Portland this past weekend. But I am really tired so I need to go take a nap and have a treat. I am still a happy pug!

I'm happy.

I had another great weekend! I love weekends!!! Usually Mom gets to be home with me during the weekend days, but this weekend she had class on Saturday so she wasn’t able to play with me a lot. That was sad, but Daddy and I got through it. We slept a lot. I like sleeping. We played in the yard and I tore through a newspaper that Daddy accidentally left out for me to chew on.
On Sunday, we got to go to my Auntie’s birthday party!!!! There were three other dogs there so that was lots of fun. One of the dogs was a Pudelpointer. His name is Dibley. He’s not too into me, but he tolerates me and I adore him. I followed him around during his game of fetch. I wasn’t interested in the ball he was fetching, I was interested in looking at his big eyes. He’s about seven times taller than me, so it was hard to look at him, but I did it!!! I didn’t really look where I was going, I just started at him as we ran around the yard. He’s a good fetcher. Daddy and Mommy say he has a fetching obsession. He’ll fetch the ball, drop it at someone’s feet, and then stare at the ball unblinking, until someone throws it again for him.
I also played with my Uncle Simon the Schnauzer. Now that little fellow is crazier than I am!!! We are each other’s size so he was a bit easier to chase around. In fact, for a while- he chased me. Ha ha! I like to be chased. The only problem with Uncle Simon is he likes to mark and since we are both the same size, it’s easy to think I did it. But I don’t mark so I usually don’t get blamed. Thank goodness!!!
There’s also Daisy dog, but we really did not get to play all that much. She’s pretty though.
I love Grandma and Grandpa. They also say how attractive and cute I am. They are very honest and always accurate. I love them.
Next weekend I get to go to the pug meetup!!!! The next weekend, another Grandma and my Great Auntie are visiting for the first time ever!!!!!! Then, in three weeks: I get to go to an annual pug crawl! I can’t wait to dress up and see new pugs!!!
I am a happy pug.

Dear Diary, I had another great day with Wesley and Lexie!!! Aunt Marcia let Mom and Dad bring me over again. My cousins and Auntie greeted me with open arms!!! I decided not to be so scared this time when I first saw W & L. I am much smaller then them (but Mom says that won’t last long) but I really try to keep up with them and do everything they do!!! Lexie is the fastest pug I have ever met!!! She runs around so fast!!! I try so hard to keep up with her! But by the time I think I have caught up, she’s already a yard away!! She’s very nice to me and was pretty patient when I tried to jump over her back. Wesley is pretty nice too. I think I look like him!!! Wesley likes to carry around his rubber balls like a cigar. He’s pretty silly and I want to be just like him when I am ten months!!! Mom says she is going to post some pictures of me and the cousins to document our days together.

Bath time times 3

I had my third bath in as many weeks today!!! I am a bit dismayed- but Mom and Dad say that sometimes I can get dirty when I roll around in the dirt (which is really one of my favorite things to do). I don't understand it- after all, I usually roll around on the carpet to wipe myself off after a trip outside!!! Mom and Dad say I am a pretty good bather. I try not to whine too much and I only make about 5 escape attempts each time. I am trying to behave.
I have learned how to sit and come too!!! Though- sometimes I like to not do it- just to be spontaneous!!! I noticed my littermate Mr. Tibbs has learned to like his crate. I don't know what he is thinking!!! I HATE my crate!!! I like to ride around in the car in it, but I don't like to sleep in it overnight, that's for sure!!! But silly Mom and Dad- they let me sleep with them once and I fell in love with their bed!!! I like to use the pillows, the blankets, and I love, love to sleep right in the middle of them. Mom and Dad are so lucky to have me around!!!!

Fun with Wesley and Lexie

Dear Diary- I had so much fun on Saturday! I got to go to my Aunt Marcia's house and play with her pug kids, Wesley Parker and Lexie Sue. At first I was pretty scared because Wesley and Lexie are so much bigger than I am!!! When I first approached them in their "bedroom" they wanted to sniff me and greet me with lots of kisses. I wasn't quite ready for it so Mom let me retreat. But then, slowly- I started to warm up to them. I found out they are pugs, just like me! They like to snort, sniff, sneeze, romp, chase balls, chase each other, and give lots of kisses to their person too! We have so much in common!!! We got to go outside to Aunt Marcia's backyard and oh my goodness! I have never played so hard!!! I had a very, very good day. Aunt Marcia even gave me a new rawhide to chomp on! It kept me busy and I just knew I had to write a diary entry about the wonderful day I had!

Well- I think I like my new house!!! My new Mom and Dad are very, very nice. I think they like me quite a bit! It must be due to my charming smile, looks of confusion and anxiety, the tilting of my head at the most heartwarming and appropriate times, and my silly nature!!! I think we all found exactly who we are meant to be with!!! The only thing I don't understand is why my new brothers-orange cat and white cat- aren't taken with me. Usually as soon as anyone or any animal sees me, they want to play with me or pet me. But these cats...they just don't understand my appeal. I try to play with them. I like to chase them whenever I can! I think they must like it when I chase them because they run away and continue the chase!!! So that's a good start to our friendship!!!
