Arrival Story:
Buttercup was rescued from a bad situation, she is a complete angel, who is looking for a home full of love and lots of groceries! Buttercup came to me with lung trauma and very emaciated! Its been 1 year since she was rescued from a horrible situation..she was bred over and over again ending up with 5 litters of puppies or more in less than 4 years..She had a heart condition that should have been caught by a responsible vet..it wasn't....Her ribs had been cracked by beatings...Her life was far from easy..she came to me starved...weighing less than 80lbs all her bones showing...not able to breathe properly and spitting up blood...I took her right in...even though I knew she wouldn't make it very long...she brought joy to my house...she took after my chihuahua like it was her own puppy...gently sweetly...all she wanted was love and a warm couch to curl on...and that's what she got...She went and lived with the Rescue center at Austin...so that she could get the heart medications and be with Mandie until she was ready to go to heaven...She brought joy and life to all she meet..She made all of us more determined to stop animal abuse...to stop breeders who bred dogs that shouldn't be bred that put their dogs lives at risk...She opened my eyes to what people can do..to how others can help stray and injured..abused animals..if you know that dog is being abused..do anything to try and save it...that's what i did..Butters had a wonderful life for 4 months...4 months that were better than the 4 short years of her life spent suffering. Thank you Buttercup for helping us realize we need to help more dogs and cats. God bless Butters. She's in a wonderful place now...in heaven with no pain..

Buttercup sadly was put to sleep after enduring a hard long 4 years of life. She was rescued and placed in a wonderful rescue foster home with Miss Mandie of the DDBG Rescue. Sadly Butters had huge problems with her heart and after only 4 months of gaining weight and her heart medicine stopped working. And her lungs and chest filled back up with blood and fluid which couldn't be removed. Her medicine and her body just stopped working. Butters was the perfect dog! She was full of love and kindness even when she was hurting so badly. I hope you read this and strive to help the next dog who needs a helping hand if only its for a few days...a few months..a few years..They deserve a wonderful chance at life. Full of good food...comfortable beds...and lots of loving and caring from their people! God Bless our Butters!
