We went to pick out a Lab from the breeder as she had several ready to go to homes. While we were looking this little guy sat down next to my wife and looked up at her. When she went to check out another pup, he followed and sat next to her again. I walked over and played with him for a moment then left to see another puppy, he followed me too. Everywhere we walked in the kennel, this little guy was at our side looking at us as if to say, "I'm the one....you can stop looking now, aren't I cute?" Once we noticed how he kept doing it, well that was that......he picked us.

A few weeks ago Mom 'n Dad and me went to the park so I could burn off some extra energy, Mom said I was bouncing off the walls (how do I do that?). Anyway, Dad and I were playing with my rubber stick and I was runnin' hard...well my stick went zig and I went zag and that's when it happened. I must have stopped to turn too fast and I yelled "Ouch" and my right leg really hurt! We stopped playin' (darn it) and I tried to walk it off as we went back to the car.

Well it kept hurtin' and sometimes I had to limp a little so Dad took me to see the Doc. She said I tore a ligament on the side of my knee and needed an operation to fix it! Now I don't exactly know what that word means but the last time I heard it right after I had one....well I lost interest in girl dogs. But Dad said I'd be alright and I could be better by Spring time so we could play and stuff so we had it done. It wasn't so bad, I got to lay around on my beddy and Mom 'n Dad took real good care of me. The only weird part was my leg was shaved and it is cold!!

Now a week later for some reason while I was trying to turn around and walk out of the family room it hurt all over again!! Then I had to limp more, I must have hurt it again....DARN IT!!! So we go BACK to the Doc and she says I gotta have ANOTHER OPERATION!!! I just can't win!!!!!!!

My mommy and my friends across the street took me and my pal Kobe to the park next to the river last Sunday. Me and Kobe ran alot and played 'stick' then Kobe ran over this hill, I had to see what my buddy was doing so I went too. As soon as I got to the top of the hill I see all this water and Kobe is playing in it....so in I go!! Boy was that fun, my mommy came to find me and started laughing and watching me play. This one time they threw the stick way out there and I had to get it, that's when Kobe showed me how to swim!! I love swimming!! We played for a long time and I didn't want to leave when mommy called but I was getting sort of tired so it was OK.....boy did I sleep good on the ride home. I can't wait to go back to the river and play some more, maybe my dad will take a picture and I can show off how good I swim.
