Arrival Story:
Elsie was brought in to the vet clinic where I worked to be euthanized because she was killing her owner's chickens. The vet talked the owner into letting us try to find a chicken-free home for her... and he agreed. A friend of mine wanted her, so we agreed to foster her until he was able to come pick her up, but eventually found that he was not going to be able to take her. Since attatchment had set in... we decided to keep her. She came to us with a broken leg that was unable to be set properly (but doesn't in any way hinder her) and a lot of emotional baggage... but she is working through that, and has blossomed into a wonderful dog. She is instantly everyone's favorite of our dogs when they meet her.
