Arrival Story:
Deuce was a stray in on of the Yukon's small communities for a long time. He had route where he would get food, but no one claimed ownership of him. After a couple years, he started getting into garbage cans and the village decided he needed to be shot. A local man caught Deuce and kept him until there was room at the Whitehorse Humane Society for him. Deuce did not like the shelter. He hates being in a small space and is extraordinarily active. His bouncing off the walls was seen as aggressive by the shelter staff. They thought Deuce should be put down. My husband, the administrator of the shelter at the time, disagreed and brought Deuce home instead. He's not aggressive at all. He's just young, untrained and very high energy. Deuce doesn't like to sleep when he could be playing!
Bio:
Deuce is a silly, funny dog. He's full of energy all the time and always up for a new adventure. He's learning to be a sled dog right now and loving it!
