Kasey Comes Home

My new house...

It's been a while since I've written in my diary, but I've been really busy staring out the windows of my new house. Before Mom and Dad decided to move, we lived in an apartment that had high windows. I couldn't see a thing! Now, I sit and stare out the windows at all the neighbors and the guys building the house next door. It is especially fun to stare down the bunnies that are out early in the morning!

One of my favorite things about our new neighborhood is this great trail near our house. Mom and I go rollerblading there and sometimes I run so fast that she can't even keep up! I really enjoy our new house now, especially since we have a yard. I'm not allowed out on my own yet because we don't have a fence, but I get to go on multiple walks a day. I love it here!

Hangin' with Cody

This week my mom has off and we've been going to the doggie park for almost 2 hours every day!!! We're babysitting my new neighbor Cody too. He comes with us to the park in the morning. Usually I get the whole backseat to myself but now that Cody is coming with us, he takes up 3 quarters of the backseat. He's a very big dog! But I'm so glad he comes with us to the park because we can go at any time and there is someone to play with! Cody can fit my whole head in his mouth but he's pretty gentle with me... Just a side note--this Saturday, I'll be marching in the Brookside St. Patrick's Day parade. Mom's going to take me to get something green to wear tomorrow!

My first day...

Wow! I have a new home! Karin and Brian adopted me on Saturday and I finally got to go to my new place in Kansas City on Wednesday. I had fun sitting in Karin's car and looking out the window. (Good thing she brought a towel because her seats are slippery.) I explored the apartment and also met a new friend--a golden retriever named Jackson. We went to a local park but it was too hot! They had a doggie water fountain though. I'm working on my house training too. I'm 2 for 4 so far. I'm not sure what to think of my crate yet. I slept in it for a while with the door open but then Karin had to go to class and I was not very happy. :( But she wasn't gone for long and I was so happy when she came home! Brian stopped home at lunch to visit and I really like him. I hope I'm not too bad for his allergies! Anyway, I'm happy in my new home!
