Arrival Story:
Our Sheltie, Bailey, had recently passed away. We had our greyhound, "Annie Haul", then but being a couch potato, she just didn't run to the door and greet us like Bailey did. So we went to the Annual Doggie Jog fundraiser and started talking to a local breeder of Shelties. She knew of a family that was looking for a home for their two Shelties. So off we went to meet them. Unfortunately one dog was absolutely as hyper as can be, but the other was a perfect lady. That was our Shelby (Her name that she came with - - - Shelby Lynn). Of course, we came home with just one dog. We have had her for almost five years now! The latest and saddest news for us as of Oct. 10, 2005, Shelby has passed away. She bravely battled cancer of the lining of the bladder, but we believe it had finally spread. We certainly miss her and the greetings she always gave us when we came home. She did teach our young cat Charlie Gibson well. He greets us at the door just like Shelby. Now if he could only teach our 9 year old rescued dog of one year to do the same.
