Pet-Peeves: getting a bath and getting a haircut!
Favorite Toy: My favorite toy is a stuffed cricket, or maybe my eggplant toy...
Favorite Food: Liver!!
Favorite Walk: I like walking around downtown Seattle, esspecially if we stop at a cafe!
Best Tricks: Agility!! Also I know my left from right, put my head on the floor, and pounce!
Arrival Story: I came from a breeder in SC and I am my Mommy's first dog. The people that lived next door liked me so much that they went to my old house and brought home my favorite sister! We are identical twins and its was nice to have her around!
Bio: First and foremost, I like to snuggle with my people! Mom started doing some agility with me just for fun because my sisters enjoy it so much. Now that I can't really see very well I just do tunnels and jumps with bars on the ground but I still really like it! Most of the time instead of very active things Mommy teaches me tricks by doing what she calls "shaping" with the clicker. I really like that!
Forums Motto: Let a sleeping dog lie!
Background: Do you like my pawprint background?
Today (on December the 8th) I turn 8 years old! The puppy says I am ancient, but not really, compared to some of the doggies here I am still just a pup!
Mommy gave a special breakfast (pictures will be up soon!) and took a special birthday picture. Then she took me on a walk, all by myself! None of the other doggies (even the border collie!) got to come! I also got a bone just for me AND a new doggie toy! Mommy really knows how to make my day!
Today, the day I turned 8 years old, Mommy made me feel like a little puppy again. I ran and played and romped around like a crazy dog (that proves that your still a puppy!). Mommy made me so happy on my special day, I hope all the other doggies (116 of them so far!) that have a birthday today are as happy as I am, and I give them all a big WOOF and tail wag to wish them:
I got another hair cut. Because Mommy doesn't have a good clipper my fuzz gets cut off mostly with scissors. Now I am naked....and its the middle of Fall! I do have SEVERAL fleece jackets so I don't become an icecube. I don't like getting all my fur/hair cut off, its just not that fun. One time I had really long hair but then came summer and off it went!
I get really frisky and happy right after a hair cut. Mom says its like I am a puppy again. Each time she gives me a slightly different clip. This time, my ears are cut in the shape of a normal ear but the hair from the base of my ear is left long. it gives me kind of a dashund look. Also my foot fuzz is long. It looks really funny when I walk and even funnier when I run! My tail is also left long otherwise it would be like a whip and we don't want that!
Well, I better go get on a jacket so I don't freeze, the computer is keeping me warm but Mommy wants it back now.
A few months ago, my Mommy brought home another sister for me. I had been through this all before but this time seemed very different. When they brought home Peanut, she looked a lot like I did as a puppy but this new, thing, is a lot bigger.
She is so active and always wants to play. At first she would do her business in the HOUSE! She didn't have very good manners so I had to help her with that. She is just always going going going. Mommy has been giving me some extra attention so I don't feel left out. This is a good thing.
Peanut plays with the puppy (they call her a Border Collie) but I prefer to sit on the couch and watch. Sometimes they say that the puppy (aka Dazzle) brings out the puppy in me, I don't think so. She is so BIG and CLUMSY. I was never like that-was I?
Its not so bad now that she is a little older but I still like to remember the times when it was just me and Peanut.
There is a lot to be done with the new thing in the house. she still needs some training, training to leave me alone! My family keeps saying that I will learn to love her like I do Peanut, YEAH RIGHT!
