Arrival Story:
I really wanted a dog to keep me company right after I got married and the hubby was putting in long hours. I looked around at various newspaper ads for weeks and then decided that I would go to the shelter and rescue a puppy. Brutus had 5 other brothers and sisters there who were rescused from a puppy mill along with him, but I fell in love with my Brutus on sight. I visited with Boo to make sure he loved me too and then we went straight to the vet for a wellness visit. He had been neutered the same day, so we went home and the poor little guy fell asleep and didn't wake up until morning.

So, mom says that this weekend I'll go for my yearly check-up. I actually really like going to my doctor - all the new smells and new people to play with. My biggest fear is the scale. Why oh Why must I be weighed everytime I go there? I guess I'll have to watch my kibble intake until Saturday. I really hope I'm healthy though, because I really don't like medicine. Mom thinks I swallow, but I spit it out behind the couch! :)
