Arrival Story:
My daddy found me after researching some local breeders. When he came to my house, I was so happy to see him. I think we bonded well from the start. I was the oldest adoptable dog at the breeder's house at the time at 9 months old, since I had to be brought back to the breeder. My first owner had some problems keeping me. Grandpa told Daddy I would be a good fit for him, and about a month later he came back to get me to take me home.

Jake crossed the bridge on 11/7/2008 after developing a tumor on his spleen that burst three days before. He became lethargic and was having difficulty moving or going for a walk. We sent Jake to grandpa's for some one on one time and all appeared well for two days until a trip to the emergency vet showed that he was anemic. An ultrasound showed the tumor and the poor prognisis. Even one year later, it is still hard to even type this. We really miss the big guy, love ya' Jakers.
