OBI, I miss you......

Dearest OBI,
I miss you so much but with all my heart I believe you are beyond the stars, playing with your furends.....Peabody and Cosmo. By now you have met your past woofie family, Buffy, Raleigh, Buddy, Heidi, lil Maxie, Dube, and Fancy.........AND what fun you must be having running in the open fields with my horse, King.
Your baby Brother is keeping me busy on poo patrol, doesn't quite understand how to ask to go outside yet. Did you see his new jacket...he is so adorable in it. Luke was feeling sick a few days ago, thanks for watching over him, he feels better now.........I know you miss him OBI but I really can't part with him just yet. He will be 13 in January, send him a sunny warm day to break up the winter days.
The new gates just arrive this morning that will keep your lil' brother out of the cat pans! Well, you sure sent me a lil stinker that keeps me on my toes..........some how I know you did that on purpose.....keep mommy busy so she won't feel sad and can laugh again. I have to admit I cried while writing my thoughts to you sweet OBI....sorry, but my heart is and will always be connected to yours. I wish I could reach out and give you the biggest hug right now..........forever yours, love Mommy

THANK YOU FURENDS!

We thank everyone for all the support and prayers. All OBI's tests came back, he did not have Von Willebrand disease nor was he poisoned as the Vet first thought. At this point there is no answer why OBI's blood slowly stopped clotting. His Vets worked over him lovingly and were quite shaken when he quietly left our lives. Forever he will be in our hearts and his name on our lips. We are enlarging some of our favorite photo's of OBI & Luke together to frame & hang. ..............A Photo of them looking out the window when, even though the car is not in sight they some how know a family member is almost home. .........Another photo of the OBI & Luke together showing how close their brothership was between them. .....One of OBI's face showing his kind & loving reflective eyes.......oh how we miss seeing them! We know he will sense the arrival of his family members and will be waiting with his fluffy tail wagging, that smile on his face to greet them as they come to cross the same bridge, never to be separated again. Love is bonded forever!

It's hard right now to type through tears, it seems OBI might have had Von Willebrand Disease. We won't know for sure till all test come back. His Vets did so much to save him but when he went it was fast. We had never heard of this disease before but it can surface at any age. I will add to our OBI's diary when all the Vets test results come back. Luke is still looking for his brother and TyGr waits at the top of the stairs to the foyer, for his return. OBI is buried near the cypress with Tonka, Zipper, Sonic, Buffy(golden girl) and Rays cat Mickie. We are devastated..............

Angel watchin' over me!

I just know my dear Angel furend Peabody was watching over me last Saturday when I lost my footing and fell on the back outside steps. I didn't let anyone know but the next day Mom saw my eye white was red, she thought one of the kitties might have scratched me. She had planned on taking me to the Vets Monday to have my eye checked out after shaving my face. She had me roll over to see if I had any ticks 'cause Dad found a fat one on the bathroom floor that Saturday evening. Then Mommy saw my dark red tummy and upper left leg, she was very upset & scared 'cause she then was thinking this might have been caused by the tick! Mom called the Vet for an emergency appointment. The Vet checked my temp...I wasn't to happy about that, then she checked my gums for color. Good thing they are not black like Luke's!) My Vet concluded I had a bad fall & asked Mommy how it might have happened. Mommy told her about Luke & I going down the back steps together all the time and sometimes we go out fast but there is a landing between some of the steps. There are six top steps a very big landing and then eight more steps then a rubber mat at the bottom. They were all surprised I didn't break a bone. I was sent home with meds under close watch that if things looked like they were getting worse I was to come back right away since they are there, 24/7! I wasn't feeling to bad until Wednesday, my bruises spread up to the right side of my chest. I didn't eat that day or the next so Mom gave me some clear Pedialyte through a syringe every 3 hours. I could see she was really getting worried because I was starting to act worse, not eating & looking depressed . Then by Friday morning I woke up feeling better and ate a few treats. Later I even ate some of my canned food and didn't get sick! The red on my lower belly was going back to pink so Mom thought it took all my bruising several days to show up while other areas were getting better. It's now been a week since I fell and I am almost back to my happy go lightly self. I did lose a good furend but gained a very special Angel, Thanks Peabody! Love, OBI

OMG.......

It's been a long time since I posted! Stupid cats get all the glory......but mom has been so busy takin' care of everything. There are 8 humans, 6 cats and Luke & I to take care of so I do understand....a little. A few weeks ago our Grammom fell and broke her hip! After spending a week in the hospital she went to a rehab center. Mommy & Dad are there twice everyday and finally, after her strong pain drugs were removed, she is getting stronger and in pretty good spirits now. She will be there at least till September 30th and they have to see if her hip is healing enough to she can start learning to use a walker. We miss Grammom so much and can't wait till she is home again. Luke is waiting for his vet appointment to be cleared to go visit Grammom. I am over protective of mommy soooo,....I can't go : (........I can't help it, I worry about her to much, I know, but I feel it's my job. Mommy has taken me to 3 courses of training........only some things sunk in...: ( ! Mommy huggs me all the time and says she loves me anyway. I love playin' with Ty the cat, 'cause he is just like a little dog, we play together all the time...he is a big tease!!!! Ty is part Bengal and a very high energy cat as I am a high energy spoo so we have lots of fun together. OOPS, I have to go...Mommy has to go to visit Grammom now, BYE!

It was my Birthday today!

I am now three years young! Luke & I ran around in the big yard this morning, it was fun hearing the ice crunch under our paws. Do you like eating ice or snow, I love it! It's been muddy in our running yard but today with the icy snow we were allowed out there to run and play, YEAH!!! The humans have been so busy finishing their Christmas decorating, it looks so cool with the fake snow on our trees. When Luke and I go out at night, we can see everyone's Christmas lights and Mom put some around our deck. Soooo, what did I get for my Birthday...a new scarf, a toy, and treats! MOM, just warning ya, I have lots more Birthdays to go!!!!!! Yippie!!! OBI-WAN
