Arrival Story:
Adoption 2010 Contest .....I found Molly on a Sunday at a local animal shelter but she wouldn't be up for adoption until Thursday. So when Thursday came I took a half day off from work and got to the shelter an hour before they opened (in freezing winter weather). I was too early ...I had to sit inside the shelter and wait for it to open. While I waited I chatted with the staff and got to know everyone. When they opened at noon 5 people came rushing in all wanting Molly! They had to qualify each applicant - I thought I was out - I have only a tiny fenced patio. The staff started eliminating each person finally they motioned to me to go into their office. I thought it would be bad news ...to my surprise....they wanted me to have Molly. After that I was so excited that I couldn't hear a word anyone said all I could see was Molly's happy face! Since that time Molly has become the light of my life. The day revolves around her.

Bio:
I took Molly for her first vet check a few days after adopting her and as the vet tech filled out the papers the lady started crying! As it turned out she was the one who found Molly roaming the street as a stray. She really wanted to keep this sweet little girl but she already had 3 dogs so she turned Molly into the local shelter with the thought that she'd never she her again! I told her not to worry that Molly has a wonderful home with an owner - Me - who truly cherishes her sparkle!
