Likes: Going for walks or rides, especialy to visit Grandma!
Pet-Peeves: Birds, she chaises them all out of the backyard
Favorite Toy: Squeaky Squirrel (the only toy she ever plays with)
Favorite Food: anything except cheese (she's on a diet food right now because she resembles a little Vietnamese Pot Belly Pig!)
Favorite Walk: anywhere, as long as it's a nice warm day
Best Tricks: she can "laugh" (athough, she does need a lot of coaxing!)
Arrival Story: I saw a pic of Mya on Petfinder and fell in love. She was rescued by Animal Oasis in Utah and they were kind enough to let me adopt her. On November the 18th, it will be our first anniversary!
Bio: When Mya first came into our home she was a shy, scared and rather anti-social little girl. She didn't know any comands, and didn't like to be petted on her head or have anyone "in her face". It's hard to believe any of that seeing the way she is now! Her favourite thing is to snuggle under the covers in bed with us with her little face poping out onto the edge of the pillow. She now knows how to sit for treats and loves to play fetch with her Squeaky Squirrel. She has learned the word "WALK" and we are now running out of code words for it because she has learned to pick up on those as well ;) She has also learned that the cats have no interest in her food or treats, and therefore do not pose any threat, so she just ignores them. Her present challenge? The New Arrival, Lacey, who is an older Chi with a mind of her own (also rescued).

Yay... yesterday, November 18th was my Second Year Adoption Anniversary! Well... we didn't really do anything out of the ordinary, but I did get lots of extra treats. It was Mommy's day off so we got to just hang out and snuggle together, that was super nice! I overheard her planning some sort of party for me... shh, don't say anything 'cause it's supposed to be a surprize. I think maybe we'll be going over to Grandma's house with Lacey later and our Chi cousin, Keesia is supposed to be there too... I can't wait! ;)
Wow, it's exactly one year (human calendar) today, November 18th, 2005 since i came to live with Mommy and Daddy here in Canada! I am their first, and if I might add, best behaved, although, sadly, not the one and only, doggie girl.
I know Mommy meant well, when she set out to get me a "little play pal", but you can't strike gold everytime! I mean, well Mommy says I was a diamond in the rough, but you know what I'm trying to say... Lacey just got here 3 months ago and she thinks she owns the place! She is really stuck up and selfish. "My bone, my treat, my Mommy, me me me", and she's not very nice to me or the kitties, she isn't even nice to Daddy!
I don't know how they can stand her... Mommy told Daddy that "it's not her fault and that with time, she might come around, just like Mya did". Can you believe it?! Well, I'm not holding my breath! And besides, I know that I'll always be #1.
