Arrival Story:
Over a year ago our dear old dog Annie had to be put to sleep because she had a tumor on her heart. She was a German Shepherd-BlueHeeler cross. She was one of the smartest and best cow dogs we have ever owned and we all agreed if we ever came across such a combination we'd try another one. My daughter's co-worker told her last week she had puppies to give away and they were exactly that combination. Five adorable puppies to choose from! The parents of the puppies both have sweet dispositions. Zeus is the German Shepherd father and Athena the Blue Heeler mother. It was hard--- but there was one female that seemed the "right one" so we took her home and named her Katie Jo. All the big dogs like her just fine and little Mudrick is helping us take care of her too.

Bio:
Katie Jo no longer lives with us. It was so funny. When my daughter got married on October 18, 2008, she and her husband moved into the farm adjoining ours and Katy Jo went over there when my daughter and son-in-law were moving in and she has never come back! She just decided she would live with them. They even went off on their honeymoon for 2 weeks and Katy Jo stayed right by the door guarding everything. She loves my son-inlaw and rides with him everywhere on the four-wheeler and even on the big tractor when he bales hay.
