 Quick Bio:
Likes: Dog park and hunting trips, catching anything that will fit in her mouth that is to slow to escape, especially bugs.

Pet-Peeves: Getting her nails clipped...she hates it!!! Being left behind when Dad goes to work.

Favorite Toy: Her stuffed animals- not any in particular.

Favorite Food: 'Good girl' cheese and steak scraps. Sometimes she gets to steal a rib.

Favorite Walk: Around the neighborhood or 70th street dog park ('Good Girl park')...anywhere, really.

Best Tricks: Play dead, Opening the shower door.

Arrival Story: Raina came with Bev during my home inspection, and I fell in love with her personality, disposition, and overall demeanor and attitude.

Bio: The first 2 weeks I had Raina, I had her limited to the kitchen in case of accidents while I was away. In this time she managed to:
-rearrange the closet a number of occasions
-chew up 8 pairs of my ex's shoes, and nibble on 2 pairs of mine
-destroy the left side of every hat I have (I am a Southpaw)
-figure out how to open the closets
-discover that if you move a chair from under the table, you can get on counters and tables, as well as what's on them
-let me know her opinion of Alltel and their phone book
-let me know her opinion of Victoria's Secret, their products, and models (funny...she left Super Chevy alone!!!)
In the first hour I'd had her, she figured out how to work my gate and let herself out. In the first month, she learned how to work the screen door in the back. I am thankful she hasn't figured out the fridge, or at least done it in front of me. That would make for a very happy little girl, and a very worried daddy!
Some of her favorite things include having her thigh and bum/'chops' rubbed, snuggling under a blanket with dad, attacking blankets that try and eat her, watching critters play outside and warning me that someone or something is on HER street, seeing Grandpa, Grandma, and Aunt Mo and Uncle Kyle, and offering endless amounts of assistance to everyone.

Forums Motto: Need some help with that?

Who was Raina?: Miss Pants
Raina, Raina Pants, Raina Pantalones, Miss Pants……they all mean one thing to those who knew her….it was the goofy girl we all knew as Raina.
Raina was many things to many people…..she’s been described as the coolest dog by several or her ‘aunts and uncles’, and people she’d have called friends if she could….even though they walk on 2 legs like she would when she’d try to get a toy back. She was smarter than her dad- always finding a way to get what she wanted, knowing that I would give in to her. She knew her toy names, she always tried to make it to the back door if she was getting sick, she knew how to work the gate, the back screen door, and probably the fridge but I never caught her at it.
Raina was a teacher- she taught any new dog- or person- how things will be done at the house of Pants. She taught me how to be a good dad, how to put shoes and hats away, that Dobie heads often spontaneously sprout from between your legs and immediately look straight up, blankets will attack you and try and eat you if you don’t attack the blanket first, and that there’s nothing better than being 5 minutes late to spend time on the couch or bed cuddling to get a few more Dobie groans and kisses in to start the day.
Pants showed me how to appreciate little things…like tasty lightning bugs, crickets, and roley poleys, rolling around and scratching her back on a fresh cut lawn, laying in the sun on a cool fall day, chasing birds at the P A R K and when we’d go dove hunting, car rides and getting your chin, ears, and tummy rubbed, sleeping in daddy’s spot on the bed, nothings better than getting your bum rubbed or having your thighs and chops rubbed, from ‘good girl cheese’ and treats to deer jerky, the comfort of a collar jingling, and beautiful sound of ticking toenails on hardwood floors.
Raina also was a protector- she protected the yard from the legions of evil bunnies, squirrels, and garter snakes. She protected HER truck from pesky bicyclists, pedestrians, and motorcycles. She made sure anyone walking by knew they walked on HER sidewalk, when all she really wanted was go greet them and play. She protected her house and her dad from everyone- all were barked at, only those that were deemed ok could enter, who were then greeted with a big toothy grin, followed by the ritual of grabbing a toy to carry while standing between your legs and being petted.
Raina was easily amused- from chasing bobbers, rocks, and sticks cast into a lake, watching the world go by on a car ride, or helping her dad with any task at hand- Raina always had a paw to lend, and had the answer to all the questions that I had. She loved going to Menards and helping pick things up for our latest projects, or helping out at PetCo and Petsmart with shopping or Doberman Rescue events. She could run and play for hours at the P A R K, or rest for hours watching movies with her dad.
Raina was a good listener, and helped me through all the bumps in the road of life. She was always there to let me know that things were going to be alright, to let me know that no matter what, someone would always be happy to see me, and no matter how frustrated I was with anything, she understood my stance.
Raina was a friend- to all of her furless family, as well as her friends she easily made at the P A R K. She loved nothing more than to ‘hang out’ with her grandpa and grandma, aunt Mo, uncle Kyle, or have new friends come into her life. Most of all, she was a friend to Sadie and her foster sister Iya. Even though Raina and Sadie didn’t live together, they were the best of buds. Raina and Sadie could wrestle, play, and run together for hours, days it almost seemed. They’d sleep on each other, and always somewhat allowed one another to eat from each others’ bowls. They were the bobsie twins- never without the other when they were together. Raina was a sister to Iya, and even though Raina was younger, she taught Iya the doings and ways of our house. Iya and Raina would run all over the back yard, playing tag or keep away from eachother or their dad, as well as plot to get things off the counters or tables of interest to them….primarily Iya, but Raina was always there to help and supervise. They would argue like siblings, but always ended the night by cuddling on or near each other, typically with Raina giving Iya kisses.
Raina was just an all around happy girl, and was busy being happy and living life when hers and her best friend, ‘Snorty’ Sadie, the boxer we all loved so much, were taken from them while they were ignoring their parents and playing in the draw behind Sadie’s house.
I miss you both…more than you’ll ever know.
I’ll see you on the other side little girl.
