First Swin - Sunday, May 7th

I went to the dogpark with my mom and her friend Erica. I started chasing around another Golden who led me into the nasty pond at the dogpark. It may be a nasty pond but I didn't realize how great the water is. I know my mom was calling for me but once I got in the water I just couldn't get enough. I started splashing around and having a great time. Someone threw a stick and so like a good retriever I tried to fetch it but all of a sudden I couldn't touch anymore and I had to doggie paddle back to shore. I don't think my mom realized I knew how to doggie paddle because she looked a little scared when I tried to fetch the stick in deep water. I got hosed down when I got home from the park and the water was freezing - but it was totally worth it because swimming is awesome!

No more crate! - Saturday, April 29th

I must have showed my parents that they can trust me because I no longer have to go in my crate when they are not home. They even took the crate out of the house for good! I love being able to sit in front of the TV and watch Animal Planet while they are at work. I mostly sleep while they are gone but I do play with my toys off and on throughout the day too. Freedom is great - I am loving it!! Thanks mom and dad for trusting me!

First trip to the UP - Friday, March 17th

This weekend I went to the UP for the first time. It was so fun! There were two other dogs there - both of them black labs. We ran around in the deepest snow I have ever seen. I even got to ride up with Jade on the way there. We played in the car for 6 hours straight! I like Jade but she always leaves me with a wet neck. Tracker is fun too! Everytime I leave Tracker I get sad because she is a good friend.

New Sleeping Arrangements!! Saturday, January 7th, 2006

Tonight my mom and dad let me sleep in their bedroom instead of my kennel for the first time. It was so great because I had tons of room to stretch out on my dog bed and I was close to my mom and dad (not on another floor of the house). I behaved very well so I don't lose this privilege....sleeping in their room is the best!

Happy Holidays!

I am getting really excited for the holidays! I have already gotten some gifts. For Haunukkah, I got this great stuffed bone...but I started to pull the stuffing out the other night so I can't play with it anymore. For Christmas, I got a dog bed that I absolutely LOVE! I lay on it all the time...it is so comfortable. I hope Santa brings me one of those HUGE rawhides this weekend. If he does I promise to not steal anymore ornaments from the Christmas tree this year.

Friday, December 2nd, 2005 - I'm getting "fixed" today

I am spending the day at the vet to get spayed. My mom is a little nervous - she doesn't do well with the idea of surgery. I know I will be back to normal in a couple days. Boy, am I hungry...I didn't get to eat breakfast this morning.

Oops...I forgot to announce my graduation!

I graduated from Puppy Class on Thursday, November 10th. The last class was so fun. My trainer cleared out the ring and every dog got to show off all of their tricks. My parents taught me how to shake/high five before the class and everyone loved it! I also knew all of the cues we learned in class. My parents will probably sign me up for another class in the spring...I can't wait!!

Saturday, November 19, 2005 - I'm groomed!

My mom walked me over to PetSmart last weekend. I figured I was just going to the vet AGAIN but this time I got groomed! I must have been a good puppy because it only took 45 minutes when they told my mom I wouldn't be ready for 3 hours! They gave me a bath, trimmed my hair, clipped my nails and sprayed me with something that made me smell great! The best part of all was the bandana they gave me when I was all done...except they gave me a blue one!

Week of Nov 14, 2005 - Brrrr...my first experience of winter

It got REALLY cold this week and even snowed for the first time. I guess I better get used to it living in Minnesota. The snow is so cold on my paws but I love to play around in it and eat it when my parents take me out for potty breaks. Unfortunately, it all melted but I know there will be more white stuff for me to play in soon enough!

Monday, Nov 14 - Thursday, Nov 17, 2005 - Throw Up!

I did not have a good week! I threw up everyday in the afternoon when dad got home. They took me to the vet on Thursday and they offered up some suggestions. Now I get each meal in 2-3 servings and I eat my kibble with water. It looks just like the cereal my dad eats for breakfast!
