Arrival Story:
I had always been a cat person and resisted husbands ideas about a dog 9I had never had a dog. After my Husband had a stroke in 2000 he was home all day with the exceptions of PT and daily walks he had little to do while I was working. I suggested we go to the pound and look at the dogs. There were several very attractive small dogs but Oscee stole my heart. He did not go crazy when we approached his kennel as the other pups had, he simple stuck his nose between the bars, wagged his tail and sighed a deep sigh.I was a little intimidated by his size (42# when we adopted)but we knew he was the dog for us. I am now a dog/cat Mom!! Oscee has been a great dog. He gave my Husband a purpose during a difficult time, he saved our house from burning down by alerting us, he brings us such joy with his unconditional love each day that I couldn't imagine life without him!!!

Today is a GOOD Day!

Oh, what a glorious day!! I am a four year old, air conditioned pooch. The Florida heat takes its toll on us air condition poochies! Today was the first day Mom let me and Harriet stay out all day and play, play, play!!! I just love staying in the back yard, digging holes and running and wrestling with my sis!! We had so much fun Dad had to bribe us to come in when he got home from where every it is that he goes all day. The wind was blowing a nice cool breeze! Fall is here. Yipee, roll in the grass time!!! I'm all tuckered out from the fresh air. Ready to curl up in a ball and call it a day.
