around the whole neighborhood
acrobatics while blitzing. He can jump sideways from a standstill. Run sideways on the couch and just about do flips in the air. Hops on his back legs like a bunny rabbit and crawls on the back of the couch like a kitty cat.
I had moved to a new city and was able to serious think about getting a dog. I had researched the Bichon Frise breed for a long time. I did some calling around and found a breeder in one of my old neighborhoods. I called her and she had just had a litter. I went to pick him out and waited for the time to bring him home. The rest is history.
Seamus was born on February 20th. I find this so special because my Birthday is on February 26th. I felt that he was meant to be my puppy. The first week or so, Seamus just slept and slept. Then he finally woke up, it seemed, with tons of energy. He did his first blitz around 8 or 9 weeks old. And when I saw this, I thought my dog was going crazy. Potty training took us about a year to get a handle on. Now, Seamus will look at me in just a certain way and walk towards me, to tell me he has to go potty. When I have to run errands and I can't take him with me, he is just beside himself. When I return, he lets out this unique bark that tells me that he's upset that I left him and it's about time I got home. Then he and his sister, Shawnee the shih-tzu, do their happy blitz around the house. Seamus has a big brother. His name is Bob the Boston Terrier. Both Shawnee and Bob were rescued/adopted. Bob and Seamus play tug of war together. They love to play. Seamus has another older brother who was the first dog of the family. His name is Lucky the Boston Terrier. He was a older dog and developed cancer after being in our home for 6 months. He has gone to the rainbow bridge a year to the day of being rescued in our family.

I'm here!! Aren't I cute? My mom sure thinks so!!
My mom just fixed me my food and I just wasn't ready to eat. I would of just loved to have my great-grandma's lunch. She's eating 'Arbys'. It sure smells good. But mom says 'no' but maybe if she's not looking, great-grandma will slip me some. I just can't seem to get anything past mom. She watches me like a hawk.
When I first came to live with my mom, she gave me a really big bed and kennel to sleep in. And I was just so tired that I slept all the time. Then one day, I wasn't as tired and felt like running like crazy and growling at the same time. It was sooooooo much fun!!! My mom had toys for me too. They were almost bigger than me. I love to play with my mom. She knows just how I like to play. She would let me chase her around stuff. And sometimes I could run faster than her. Then mom taught me how to go up stairs. It was so scary at first. I finally could do one step then another but I couldn't figure out how to get down. Soooo scarwy!!!
When people would visit, mom would take me to her room upstairs so I wouldn't get hurt or taste anybody with my teeth, so I would look at them from the top of the stairs and run and bark going back to my moms room and my room, for along time.
One day, as I was growing so big, mom gave me a giant bed. And it was so far off the ground. There was so much room that I let mom sleep with me. Sometimes she would sleep on my side of the bed but thats ok 'cause she's my mom. She doesn't know better.
When mom brought me to live with her, she told me that I had a big brother. His name is Lucky and he's a Boston Terrier. But he didn't like me too much but I soooo much loved him. Lucky was grumpy alot, because he was getting sick. Then one day, he was soooooo sick that mommy said that Lucky wasn't gonna get any better and was not feeling good at all. I was soooo sad. Lucky let me kiss him and he kissed me back. Then he went to heaven. We were all so sad. I was so sad.
A little bit later, mom told me that I was gonna get a new big brother. His name is Bob and he is a Boston Terrier. He liked me. He wanted to play with me. I was soooo happy. We were best buds. Then ... another surprise!! Mom told me that Bob and me would get a sister. Shawnee came to live with us. Her family didn't want her anymore and mommy wanted a little girl. Mom said she was a shih tzu. Shawnee was so quiet and she didn't play with me and Bob. She didn't play with any toys either. Mom taught her how to play and now she likes to tackle me all the time. Shawnee is happy now.
Mom says she has to make a web page for Bob and Shawnee so you guys can see them.
Bye for now,
Belly Rubs for everyone!
