getting my teeth brushed, being bathed, having to wait past the normal time to eat, being coaxed into the pool with beer by my Uncle Matt...the beer was great....I just wasn't really crazy about the pool, staying on my leash at un-Maverick-proofed homes

plush squeaky toys that I can hump, my girlfriend, my bone and anything that gives me an additional source of food

anywhere I can chase squirrels and sniff a lot!
Arrival Story:
I saw "Montana's" (the name given by RHS) sweet face on the Richardson Humane Society website. I had been wanting a dog for a very long time and immediately fell in love with him. The day I adopted Montana, he escaped from my apartment. I had to scale an 8-foot fence, run barefoot through mud and muck, but I finally caught him when he was distracted by a tempting scent in the bushes. What an adventure!! That's when I decided that he needed a rebellious name and so I dubbed him Maverick.
Bio:
Maverick is the most precocious dog I have ever had. It's the "let's see what I can get into next" attitude, but I love him anyway!! His personality never ceases to amaze or entertain me. Even when he shows his stubborn side, I can't help but smile when he talks his special Beagle language.
