Arrival Story:
Prior to me, my family had two other dogs; a wheaton terrier "Golly" and "Kalvan" a bischon frise. My family had to move into a townhouse that didn't allow doggies. CAN YOU IMAGINE! Anyway, Golly and Kalvan had to go to a new home. Fortunately they were placed together. When my family moved into a new home on a Saturday, I moved in with them on Sunday. I am referred to as the "Golden Child" because the kids are grown and my family waited 6 years to be able to get me. What a life!!!!!!

Bio:
Hey, I just turned 6 years old. Can you believe it? I am mature now (well sometimes) and enjoying life. Although the family and I are recovering from a horrendous event in 2007. Our house burned down. It was awful! It was at 1 AM on April 17. I heard the alarm and sirens and ran for cover; under the bed. My brother, Ryan was the level headed one. He just reached in and pulled me out and outside we went. Talk about "what would you take" there is simply no time to even think. It was very cold and the family had no shoes, coats, only jammies. A policeman gave my dad his jacket. We all survived, except for the house. Then we had to go to temporary housing. It had a smoke alarm that went off for no reason at all. We have all been emotionally affected and we lost all of our belongings. Whenever I hear a siren now I shake. A whole year later we moved back home finally. Why am I telling you this story? Well Mom & Dad - have a plan-know where your pets sleep at nite. Because I have black fur it is hard to see me at nite. And please know that "smoke alarms save lives". I'm so glad to be here to tell you this story, some unlucky pups aren't. Take care and please let this year be better. See ya! Toby Well, do you believe on July 1, 2008 my Mom & Dad decided to bring home my little sister "Madelyn"! What were they thinking? This is a one dog family and it's ME! Well she just turned 1 on 4-4-09. You know how puppies are... she's cute but trouble! Then this February I was diagnosed with diabetes. We're all adjusting but those 2 insulin injections a day are a real pain! Oh and my brother went to college this year too. He was the baby. It was hard at first but guess what he's coming home soon. Yea!
