Two Years.......

Two years ago today I was at the pound, with just hours left to be adopted when 2 girls took a chance on me. I am so happy they did! I have had the best life with my new family. Take a chance on a big black dog everyone, he/she might be the best thing to ever happen to you.

My First "Real" Trip to the Vet!!!

Well, I got adopted on 9/24/05 and here at my new house, life is pretty dang cool. Within a week, I was blowing funny colored snots out my nose at all the humans and furniture, so mom took me to the vet. She knew I had something called "kennel cough" so she said I had to wait in the parking lot, so I wouldn't get all the dogs sick. The regular doctor was on vacation, so a lady doctor came out to the parking lot to do my exam.

Well, that was already 6 weeks ago!!! So Mom took me yesterday to meet her favorite "special" friend, Dr. Soltero. I got to go in and everything!!! There was a Chihuahua in the waiting room, (my favorite friends!!!) but she didn't feel good so I could only give her little kisses while her mom held her.

That Dr. Soltero is really nice!!! He says I look great, and that Momma can keep spoiling me rotten and like will only get better for me!!!

I guess for a long time everybody thought Momma was crazy because she would make special meals for Shaq and then Mackenzie. But this Dr doesn't think it's crazy, he thinks it's crazy to feed dogs processed kibble!!! So here is what we eat...

Breakfast- Oatmeal with Goat Milk Yogurt OR Scrambled Ostrich or Free Range Chicken Eggs

Dinner-- Sweet Potatoes or Baked Potatoes and WILD Cod or WILD Salmon or sometimes canned tuna. Other veggies. (My brother Mack LOVES LOVES LOVES Brussel Sprouts!)

This diet is so yummy!!! It makes me feel like SUPER DOG!

So that was my first trip to the vet! It was very fast, one little booster shot, not scary at all!!!
