My family once had a dog named Jasmine, who was a Cocker Spaniel. We gave her away when I was three and since then, I loved animals. During September in 2005, I looked around some internet sites and found beautiful chocolate labs available for adoption. I showed my mom, when she came home from work and we called the man who had three litters, with two of them able to be adopted and loved. On September 13th, my mom, my 9-year old sister and I drove down to Pennsylvania and met an Amish family, who were very sincere. We went into the back and saw one litter of ten puppies! 8 were already on hold and to be adopted, so we looked at the remaining two males. One was very active and playful and one was in the corner, shaking in fear. We took them out of the crate and decided to buy the quiet one. Buddy is a member of the family and was a great birthday gift and is very calm. He is the key to my heart!
