Travels with Dad

Moved...

Wow, Dad sold the house I was brought up in a couple of years ago. We moved into town, and I thought I wouldn't like it after being in the country...but there is a huge back yard with a privacy fence all around it and some nice BIG trees and I can romp & play and chase balls all day. And you know WHAT???

It has SQUIRRELS! ! ! And I get to chase them...and someday I am going to catch one...at least I sure try hard for an old fat dog!!! And....there is a chipmunk that lives in our woodpile... He sure bugs me. I wish he would come out in the open where I could at least chase him. I could probably catch him, he isn't nearly as fast as those old squirrels. But they cheat, they run up on the fence where I can't reach them.

Enough for today, I have to go and rest up, we are having a big independence day cookout on sat and I am going to be the official greeter at the gate. I'll let you know how that goes.

Going to the gunshow

Wow, did Dad ever get me up early!!! Before 6am....and to think I am used to sleeping till 9 or so....we had an hour drive over to White Cloud, but there were deer on the road in a couple of places to make it interesting....we almost got a nice buck on the freeway, but Dad swerved and just missed him!!! Whew, that was a close one.
When we got to the hall, Dad set up his display and his friend was there that we go with....he had his grandson with him so I had someone else to play with while Dad worked. I liked this place, it had a nice carpeted floor to sleep on, not like some of those cold places that have a cold cement floor.
It was a long busy day so it is off to my nice warm bed next to Dads, we have to work tomorrow so I need my rest!!!
