Arrival Story:
Mark and I were driving down Main street in Kansas City (a very busy street), and we saw this little black dog darting in front of cars... I screamed for him to pull over, and she almost got hit 10 times, it was awful. He pulled over and she was running in the street, i called her over to me, and she ran up to me. When I went to grab her she ran away, and I finally got my hands on her, and she almost bit me, then realized she didnt want to... i put her in the car... there we sat... what the hell are we going to do with ANOTHER dog...? I told mark we would take her to the pound, because it was better than her getting hit by a car. We brought her home, and let her sniff Slappy through the fence.... Finally slap seemed calm, and the little mutt seemed happy, so we put her on leash and brought her in... Slappy wanted to play and the rest is history... she is a sweetie pie :)
Bio:
Pokey couldnt sit, was unfixed and winced if you moved at her quickly, so I think she was just a backyard dog, competely neglected. We also thing she was beaten. She was skinny... so we took her to the vet, got her fixed, all her shots, microchipped and fed :) She sleeps with us now!! We think she is half weasel because she gets all long and skinny and crawls around our bed under the covers!
