 Quick Bio:
 Birthday: February 5th 1993
Likes: Food and a comfy place to curl up!

Pet-Peeves: Kids, puppies and baths.

Favorite Toy: She's too old and grumpy for toys!

Favorite Food: Not too picky...as long as she gets to eat and can chew it with the few teeth she has left!

Favorite Walk: In the woods so she can roll in the stream or deer poop.

Best Tricks: Hmmmm....

Arrival Story: Gertie's original owner was the Aunt of our friend's husband. When she passed away, the family wanted to find a good home for Gerite, but no one wanted to take her because of her age. My friend, who knew that I had a schnauzer growing up, called me and asked if I would take her. After I heard her story, how could I resist? She's adjusting well, but is still nervous! She had a good vet visit and is in pretty good health for a 12 year old girl!

Bio: She apparantly loves to ride! She readily jumps into the truck whenever I open the door!

Rosie escaped the morning of 11-5-09 from her pet sitter's fenced backyard. She actually managed to unlatch the gate and presumably is headed for home. Her owner is one of my best friends and was scheduled to go out of town today hence the need for a pet sitter.
Rosie is an adult, female, German Shepherd with a very black colored face. AC saw her at North Star and Northwest Blvd. at 10:00 AM this morning but couldn't catch her. If you find her or think you've seen her please call 614-297-8380 or 614-787-1405. She is normally a friendly dog but was very scared when she was last sighted and took off running. Please let us know if you see her.
Rosie was wearing a pink gingham collar, she has all her tags on.
Please help me spread the word to anyone you know who lives in the Columbus area. Share this message on Facebook and retweet on Twitter.
We are worried sick for Rosie's safety.
Thank you for any help!

My Dear Old Lady,
I hope you have had a wonderful year at the Bridge. I often wonder if you've found your first mom who died before you and if I'll see you again. You came to me at the young age of 12, scared and alone. I hope the two years you spent with me were happy ones for you and that you knew you were loved and safe.
I miss seeing the little "Gertie dance" every morning...you used to be so excited to go outside in the morning. You took so much joy from toodling around in the woods.
Rest in peace my dear girl...I hope to see you again one day.

My dear Gertie. I miss you sweet girl! Today would have been your 15th birthday, but instead you are celebrating your birthday at the bridge this year. I hope you are having fun up there - I can almost see you bunny-hopping through green meadows in the sunshine!
Your mommy loves you, sweet girl and I'll see you again one day.
