No there is not and do not put motor oil on the dog. My dog that I adopted has locailzed demodex on her head. It is a very small area and is not contagious type of mange. The medication was only 20 dollars and it would the best plan to take the dog in to the vet. The other type of mange is contagious to other animals and people. There are also other skin disease that dogs can have. For example ring worm. It is a fungus that is easy picked up by all animals and people. It is very important to have the vet diagnosis your dogs skin problem.References :
