Arrival Story:
Romeo is actually my boyfriend Joe's dog. Joe had a wonderful pit-bull/ridgeback mix named Pooh, whom he loved to death. It was tragic when we found out that Pooh had a mysterious disease that no vet knew how to treat. He rapidly lost weight, couldn't keep his food down, and lost almost all of his strength. The symptoms were very similar to AIDS in humans. Joe spent all sorts of time and money and did everything possible for Pooh, but in the end Pooh was too weak to even stand, and he had to be put down. Joe was heartbroken, but he knew he needed to get another dog soon to help ease his pain. A neighbor of ours breeds Cairn terriers and after Joe saw his dogs, he decided to try something different. He got Romeo about a month after Pooh died. Romeo will never replace Pooh. He's got his own mind, his own attitude, and a completely different look. He has been good therapy and is a great pet.

Bio:
Romeo lives with Ivy the Pitbull/Whippet, and although Romeo is younger, Ivy's the one who always wants to play. Ivy has become quite protective of Romeo and looks after him all the time. Meanwhile, Romeo is the most popular dog in the neighborhood, since he hangs out by Joe's store all the time. He may only be 19 pounds, but he has an attitude to outweigh that! He loves the bigger dogs, and is always trying to show how smart and strong he is. He like people, but he hates to be bugged. Romeo's cute and silly and has more attitude than any dog I've ever known!
