Likes:
People are Charlie's number one priority. He'll go anywhere, anytime as long as he can be around people. Shopping is right up there on his favorite things to do list.

Pet-Peeves:
Charlie hates to be left alone.

Favorite Toy:
Charlie's favorite toy is his Burmese cat brother George. Every night about 6:00 he decides its time to play and spends about 30 minutes nibbling on George, rolling him down the hall with his nose like a football, dragging him around by one leg.

Favorite Food:
Eating is a challenge. He is not much interested in food unless its rotisserie chicken.

Favorite Walk:
Charlie is happiest walking anywhere. If we were hiking and he could chase rabbits that would be ideal.

Best Tricks:
He doesn't really do tricks but loves to be talked to and will hold your gaze for as long as you will talk to him. He also LOVES the camera and will pose forever.

Arrival Story:
I am a Realtor and was at a large realtor meeting to which the Animal Shelter in Santa Fe New Mexico was making a presentation. To illustrate their point they brought along an assortment of dogs - Charlie being one of them. He was a minute from being put down, looked a little ratty but had these eyes and a look on his face that was captivating. I was absolutely NOT in the market for a dog. The rest is history. Turns out someone had surrendered him at about a year and said that he was "too needy". That translated to, he likes to go with. For the last eleven years he has been my constant companion - he goes to work, loves the car, goes to the movies and just about everywhere else I go. He is a terrific companion and without a doubt my best friend in the world. He is remarkably tuned in to me and vise versa and the pleasure and pure job that I receive from him daily is immeasurable.

Bio:
Charlie knows when he is being spoken to and will hold a gaze forever. When I watch old people, young people, children approach him and see the way he lights up their day I am thrilled. On a recent trip to Carmel, CA. during a routine shopping trip Charlie was stopped 92 times so that people could talk to him. It doesn't get better than that!!! Lucky me!!
